The occurrence, bioaccumulation, and risks of 11 pairs pharmaceutical metabolites their respective parents were investigated in the water, sediment, fish an urban river Nanjing city, China. results showed that most target detected all water samples, with concentrations ranging from 0.1 ng/L to 72.9 ng/L. In some cases, significantly higher than parents, fold changes reaching up 4.1 wet season 6.6 dry season, while sediment fish, a lower concentration was observed cases. A lowered...

In recent years, increasing attention has been paid to Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) as one of the most common neurobehavioral diseases in school-age children. this paper, sparse representation is used an effective tool analyze corresponding functional brain connectivities from MRI data. Two diagnosis models, i.e., ADHD and healthy control are employed deal with patients subjects. these we learn feature spaces components adaptively via dictionary learning. Moreover, also...

For stormwater systems, geysers in manholes are a risk to pedestrian and vehicle safety the urban environment. Manhole covers dancing blowing off reported worldwide during heavy rainfall geyser events. These manhole cover motions impact characteristics but rarely studied. This work experimentally studied covered induced by air pocket release. Both fixed mobile were tested, effects of diameter ventilation size considered. The regimes classified into nongeyser, single-geyser, multigeyser. can...

Clastic sandstone is widely distributed in oil and gas reservoirs; its internal structure has many micro-defects. Under different stress environments of burial depth, significant damage evolution plastic deformation easily occur. A series triaxial compression tests were performed to study the coupled elastoplastic mechanical behavior clastic samples at depths ranging from 581.28 m 979.82 m. Results reveal that stress-strain responses exhibit nonlinear softening characteristics. The due...

Mineral exploration in the Canadian shield is a major challenge nowadays. This because of thick overburden cover and complex geology. Borehole tomography using resistivity induced polarization (BHDCIP) method has big advantage here due to that data acquired underneath quality, general, superior at surface. BHDCIP provides good chargeability data, which can identify mineralization easily. In this study, survey with high-resolution was carried out zones McCreedy West zone, north-western...

Abstract Using large size of intact and intermittent jointed rocks made with equivalent materials, the stress-stain curves, ringing counts energy accumulation acoustic emission (AE) were obtained by AE monitoring in real time under uniaxial compression. The strength, deformation, progressive failure evolution properties two kinds rock samples compared. Through analysis parameters, results indicate that sudden increase may be utilized as precursor information for rocks. location directly...

Microplastics have received increasing attention worldwide due to their carrier effects. In the aquatic environment, microplastics always show a vertical distribution, which thereby may change structure and function of attached microbial communities. However, few studies focused on this alteration. study, structural changes functional expression responses bacterial communities under distribution were investigated in field combined with high-throughput sequencing technology. In this paper, a new strategy is proposed for the existing expected patch log likelihood (EPLL) algorithm to deal with image denoising, where Gaussian model identification incorporated improve estimation patches. detail, noisy patches are first divided into two categories, i.e., smooth and unsmooth groups. Sequentially, in iteration of estimation, these groups separately performed via models corresponding covariance parameters. Experiments show that, patches, method can achieve better...
