An intrinsic plastic ${\mathrm{Cu}}_{45}{\mathrm{Zr}}_{46}{\mathrm{Al}}_{7}{\mathrm{Ti}}_{2}$ bulk metallic glass (BMG) with high strength and superior compressive strain of up to 32.5% was successfully fabricated by copper mold casting. The attributed a large amount randomly distributed free volume induced Ti minor alloying, which results in extensive shear band formation, branching, interaction self-healing cracks. mechanism plasticity presented here suggests that the creation BMGs...

We established a coarse-grained molecular dynamics (MD) model of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) at elevated temperatures. The nonbonding and bonding interaction parameters among PTFE beads were estimated. Then friction for simulating the Fe-PTFE process was developed on basis estimated parameters. influence temperature coefficient investigated. found that decreases with an increase in 300–500 K. This is good agreement experiments. Moreover, we comprehensively analyzed variations energies;...

Irradiation damage of FeCrCo, AlNiCo, SmCo, and NdFeB permanent magnets was investigated by using γ-ray irradiation. Results magnetic property measurement show that FeCrCo have more demagnetization than AlNiCo SmCo. X-ray diffraction analysis shows irradiation leads to the increase crystal mismatch decrease ordering degree. The investigations positron annihilation spectroscopy technique defects in SmCo after induced are not main source partial demagnetization. resistances these discussed...

A coarse-grained molecular dynamics simulation model was developed in this study to investigate the friction process occurring between Fe and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). We investigated effect of an external load on coefficient Fe–PTFE using simulations experimental methods. The results show that decreases with increasing, which is a good agreement results. high could result larger contact area PTFE layers, severer springback as consequence deformed molecules, faster motion thereby...
