Abstract The spine serves as a protective, load-bearing, and stabilizing axis for the body. Trauma can cause significant damage to spinal structures, potentially resulting in severe neurological dysfunction disabilities such paraplegia or quadriplegia. Early accurate diagnosis of these injuries is important, with computed tomography magnetic resonance imaging being important recognizing guiding timely treatment minimize disability. Radiologists play critical role assessing trauma determine...
Celiac disease can have extra gastrointestinal tract (GIT) presentations, most of which are endocrine. The aim this study was to present patients diagnosed celiac from an endocrine department and the prevalence endocrinopathies in disease.A total 36 endocrinology (LLRM Medical College, Meerut) between January 2011 July 2012 who were included study.Short stature commonest presentation (25%), other presentations short delayed puberty (20%), (11%), screening for type-1 DM (17%), rickets (6%),...
Acanthosis nigricans is a non-specific reaction pattern that may accompany obesity, diabetes, excess corticosteroids, pineal tumors, malignancies, and other endocrine disorders. It considered cutaneous marker of tissue insulin resistance. To determine the prevalence acanthosis in type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) its correlation with various anthropometric measurements resistance by HOMA-IR metabolic parameters. One hundred fifty consecutive subjects newly diagnosed DM, attending endocrinology OPD...
The objective was to compare ultrasonographic findings with clinical and radiographic in osteoarthritis (OA)-affected knee joints.
Context: Paranasal sinus (PNS) diseases affect a wide range of population and include broad spectrum ranging from inflammatory conditions to neoplasms, both benign malignant. Since their clinical assessment is fraught by the surrounding bony structures; diagnostic radiology paramount importance. Aims: This study aims evaluate PNS on computerized tomography (CT) correlate histopathological findings. Settings Design: A prospective one at tertiary care hospital. Subjects Methods: All patients...
Fibrous dysplasia is a benign fibro-osseous bone lesion characterised by the substitution of medullary component in one (mono-ostotic) or, less frequently, multiple bones (polyostotic) with immature tissue. This condition more prevalent males. While many patients fibrous
Objectives: The study’s objective was to determine if Chat Generated Pre-Trained Transformer-3 (ChatGPT)-4V can interpret magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) knees and generate preliminary reports based on images clinical history provided by the radiologist. Materials Methods: This cross-sectional observational study involved selecting 10 MRI with representative findings from institution’s radiology reporting database. Key were then input into ChatGPT-4V model, which queried four questions: (i)...
Abstract Background: Diabetes mellitus (DM) can contribute to the development of foot ulcers, a known complication DM with high financial and social burden. Achilles tendon (AT) plantar fascia (PF) are well play an important role in biomechanics. The present study focuses on alteration thickness stiffness AT PF Type 2 patients compared normal controls. Methods: A cross-sectional observational was conducted 55 healthy volunteers as were measured using B-mode ultrasound shear wave...
Association of dengue fever with longitudinally extensive transverse myelitis in pediatric age group is a rare entity. We describe case 15 year old adolescent male who presented and whom symptoms developed 4 weeks after (post-infectious stage). Magnetic resonance imaging confirmed the diagnosis involving dorso-lumbar cord. Patient recovered almost completely minimal residual neurological deficit six course corticosteroids supportive management including physiotherapy.
