Abstract Background Little information is available on the use of chest computed tomography (CT) to predict breast tumor size in cancer, despite fact that CT examinations are being increasingly used. The purpose this study was evaluate value for predicting using pathology measurements as reference standards. Methods Tumor sizes (defined greatest diameter) were retrospectively measured preoperative images 285 patients with surgically proven unifocal, invasive carcinoma. Greatest diameters...

This study aimed to retrospectively evaluate the radiological features between rapid- and slow-growing renal cell carcinoma (RCC).Twenty-five pathologically proven RCCs were reviewed with computed tomography (CT). Each tumor underwent at least 2 CT sessions. Growth rate was evaluated in terms of its maximal diameter volume change serial scan. We 8 reports from single-institution series world literature regarding growth determined mean rate. Slow- rapid-growing compared relation several...

Fibroadenomas are among the most common benign breast tumors in which carcinomas rarely develop. We report imaging findings of a microinvasive ductal carcinoma arising within fibroadenoma 51-year-old woman. This mass showed coarse heterogeneous microcalcifications circumscribed on mammography, hypoechoic ultrasound, and an early enhancing magnetic resonance imaging. Although older woman appears benign-looking, presence any unusual signs should raise concerns about malignancy.
