In this paper we present an on-manifold sequence-to-sequence learning approach to motion estimation using visual and inertial sensors. It is the best of our knowledge first end-to-end trainable method for visual-inertial odometry which performs fusion data at intermediate feature-representation level. Our has numerous advantages over traditional approaches. Specifically, it eliminates need tedious manual synchronization camera IMU as well eliminating calibration between camera. A further...

3D surface matching is a fundamental issue in computer vision with many applications such as shape registration, object recognition and classification. However, noise, occlusion clutter challenging problem. In this paper, we analyze family of conformal geometric maps including harmonic maps, least squares regards to matching. As result, propose novel computationally efficient framework that uses maps. According geometry theory, each disk topology can be mapped 2D domain through global...

In the absence of an effective treatment to alter progressive course cognitive decline and dementia, identification modifiable risk factors that could promote healthy aging has become a public health research priority. This study seeks comprehensively determine contemporaneous associations broad spectrum time-varying lifestyle with age-related in large population-based cohort older adults. A total 5711 subjects aged 50 from WHO Study on global AGEing adult (SAGE) Shanghai were studied....

We aimed to identify significant factors of selenium (Se) nutrition children in Kashin-Beck disease (KBD) endemic areas and non-KBD area Shaanxi Province for providing evidence whether it is the time stop applying Se-enriched salt KBD areas. A cross-sectional study contained 368 stratified randomly selected aged 4–14 years was conducted with 24-h retrospective questionnaire based on a pre-investigation. Food hair samples were collected had Se contents determined hydride generation atomic...

The world's forests have all the characteristics of "wicked problems" that are complex, tricky and thorny. Decades sweeping changes taken place worldwide at various levels resulted in emergence "metaforestry" which transcends field conventional forestry response to need deal with ulterior more fundamental problems concerning forest. Being an overarching objective metaforestry, sustainable forest management calls for a new line thinking promote collaboration international forums global...

Regular inspection of subsea pipelines is crucial for assessing their integrity and maintenance. These inspections usually are very expensive without employing Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs). Most the research focus in this area has been directed automating process to reduce operational costs done by using multiple perceptive sensors. This paper investigates problem pipeline detection optical sensors highly turbid scenarios. A deep neural network designed segment pipes from images....
