Photovoltaic and structural characteristics of Langmuir-Blodgett film photocells have been studied using asymmetrically substituted copper phthalocyanine (asy-CuPc). By polarized-light absorbance measurements, each molecule was found to be arranged in the with its ring facing towards dipping direction. The polarity photoelectric showed typical features expected for an organic p-type Schottky diode, while dark exhibited a reversed polarity. maximum short-circuit photocurrent on order 10 -8...

The microscopic mechanisms behind the very high mobility in rubrene single-crystal transistors achieved by interface treatments with self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) have been clarified using field-induced electron spin resonance (FI-ESR). Clearly observed FI-ESR signals exhibit extremely narrow linewidths owing to carrier mobility. precise angular dependence of $g$ values shows that crystallinity semiconductor channel is unchanged SAM treatments. trapping time charge carriers at directly...

Fluoroalkylsilane (FTS) acts as an efficient p-type dopant for organic semiconductors. FTS-doped films of the semicrystalline PBTTT polymer exhibit relatively high conductivities. We demonstrate that highly doped a metallic nature with clear Pauli paramagnetism observed microscopically using electron spin resonance spectroscopy. The state is realized within crystalline grains, confirmed from anisotropy ESR signal. As service to our authors and readers, this journal provides supporting...
