Carbon nano-onions (CNOs) are an exciting class of carbon nanomaterials, which have recently demonstrated a facile cell-penetration capability. In the present work, highly fluorescent boron dipyrromethene (BODIPY) dyes were covalently attached to surface CNOs. The introduction this new nanomaterial-based imaging platform, made CNOs and BODIPY fluorophores, allows for exploration synergetic effects between two building blocks elucidation its performance in biological applications. high...

With Brookhart type α-diimine Ni(II) based catalysts, it is highly challenging to tune polymers branching level and branch-type distribution, which in turn strongly affects thermal mechanical properties, through the aryl ortho-positions modification, while maintaining high turnover frequencies (TOFs). Herein, we are interested performing a systematic investigation on polymerization of 1-octene, 1-decene, 1-octadecene catalyzed by series nickel(II) complexes with methyl ligand backbone...

Photonic crystal-based biosensors hold great promise as low-cost devices for real-time monitoring of a variety biotargets, example, bacterial contaminants in food. Here, we report the proof-of-concept new colorimetric sensor contamination, which is based on novel hybrid plasmonic–photonic device. Our system consists layer silver, plasmonic metal exhibiting well-known bioactivity, top one-dimensional photonic crystal. We attribute bioresponsivity to formation polarization charges at...

Lithium (2,6-diisopropylphenyl)(trimethylsilyl)amide (2,6-iPr2C6H3N(SiMe3)Li) reacts with MCl4 (M = Zr, Hf) in a 2:1 molar ratio to give [{2,6-iPr2C6H3N(SiMe3)}2MCl2] (1a, M Zr; 1b, and (C5Me5)MCl3 (1:1) [(C5Me5){2,6-iPr2C6H3N(SiMe3)}MCl2] (2a, 2b, Hf). Further reaction of the dichlorides (1a,b, 2a,b) Me3SnF leads corresponding difluorides [{2,6-iPr2C6H3N(SiMe3)}2MF2] (3a, 3b, [(C5Me5){2,6-iPr2C6H3N(SiMe3)}MF2] (4a, 4b, The compounds 1−4 were investigated as potential catalysts for...

Many of the genes that comprise vertebrate adaptive immune system are conserved across wide evolutionary time scales. Most notably, homologs mammalian MHC gene family have been found in virtually all jawed vertebrates, including sharks, bony fishes, reptiles, and birds. The CD1 antigen-presenting molecules related to class I but evolved bind present lipid antigens T cells. Here, we describe two highly divergent nonclassical chicken (Gallus gallus) sequence homology proteins. One expresses a...

Abstract A series of π‐extended distyryl‐substituted boron dipyrromethene (BODIPY) derivatives with intense far‐red/near‐infrared (NIR) fluorescence was synthesized and characterized, a view to enhance the dye’s performance for labeling. An enhanced brightness achieved by introduction two methyl substituents in meso positions on phenyl group BODIPY molecule; these resulted increased structural rigidity. Solid‐state observed one derivatives. The terminal bromo substituent allows subsequent...

The stereoselective synthesis of highly functionalized 1,2,3-trisubstituted cyclopropanes 1 and 2, starting from readily available furans 3 or N-protected pyrrole 4, is described. Furthermore, exceptionally high diastereocontrol in agreement with the Felkin−Anh model was observed for addition nucleophiles to title compounds.
