A simple strategy to directly convert chrome shaving collagen fibers into hydrogels with stable surface synapses and abundant pore structures.
Triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) have become a research hotspot as feasible energy harvesters because they can efficiently convert mechanical into electrical output for supply, showing advantages in micro-scale harvesting applications portable devices.
The past decade has witnessed an emerging and fast-growing field on mechanically soft systems, ranging from materials (e.g. hydrogels) to devices flexible electronics), functional systems robotics). It is envisioned that will continue thrive in the coming decades academia industrial communities. launch of Soft Science provide first dedicated platform for publishing research findings share knowledge among
A novel hydrogel with a “soft and hard” composite structure is built by utilizing poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) chrome shavings, possesses collagen fibril-PVA mixed synapses fiber skeleton nested PVA pores.
The purpose of this work is to assess a fast technique that measures tissue stiffness and temperature during focused ultrasound thermal therapy (FUS). A one-dimensional (1D) MR elastography (MRE) pulse sequence was evaluated for the obtaining rapid measurements thermally induced changes in monitoring FUS treatments. accuracy 1D measurement studied by comparing displacements measured MRE with those well-established 2D sequence. reproducibility assessed, gel phantoms ex vivo porcine tissue,...
Introduction: Thyroid carcinoma is the most frequent malignancy in different endocrine-related tumours. In this study, we demonstrated a long non-coding RNA LINC00092-associated molecular mechanism promoting progression of papillary thyroid (PTC). Material and methods: The expression LINC00092 was analysed Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA-THCA) patient cohorts further determined by q-PCR. (3-[4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl]-2,5 diphenyl tetrazolium bromide) (MTT) assay, wound healing assay confirmed...
Magnetic Resonance Elastography is a technique used to effectively stage liver fibrosis by measuring tissue stiffness. This work optimized several acquisition and processing parameters, performed comprehensive repeatability/reproducibility validation across the three types of MRE (GRE, EPI, 3DEPI), 1.5T 3T field strengths, major manufacturers (GE, Siemens, Philips). When using methods automated analysis, repeatability coefficients were 11.8% for GRE, 10.8% 7.7% 3DEPI, all superior QIBA’s 19%...
To study how the human brain moves and deforms under a sub-injury level transient impact, we tested feasibility of measuring in-vivo motion resulting from small amplitude impact using multi-scale MR Elastography technique. Transient was encoded by wavelet-based encoding gradients at two wavelet scales plus scaling function, displacement calculated inverse Haar transform. Brain over wide frequency range detected found to be consistent with previous results much higher impact.
Structured Abstract Introduction Adenomyosis is an under-recognised condition in which definitive diagnosis only possible via histology after hysterectomy, unacceptable option for those wishing to preserve fertility. Recent cellular/molecular studies indicate adenomyotic lesions may be fibrotic leading increased uterine tissue stiffness. 3D Magnetic Resonance Elastography (MRE) a novel imaging technique that allows vivo measurement of stiffness (via elastograms). MRE has not been reported...
An efficient photo-chemo combination therapeutic platform based on targeted reduction-responsive self-crosslinked four-arm PEG-PPS-cRGD nanocapsules was developed for treatment of squamous cell carcinoma.
This paper proposes a bee colony optimization RWA algorithm based on window classification strategy. The can use the strategy for node selection, and adaptively adjust fitness function different services to evaluate existing feasible solutions. Simulation results show that this has superior performance in terms of blocking rate delay.
