To compare visual outcomes and aberration in small incision lenticule extraction (SMILE) versus femtosecond laser LASIK (FS-LASIK).This prospective, comparative, nonrandomized clinical study included 68 eyes of 37 patients receiving SMILE 55 30 FS-LASIK between December 2011 January 2013 at the Fudan University Eye ENT Hospital (Shanghai, People's Republic China). Patients were followed up 3, 6 months 5 years after surgery. Main outcome measurements uncorrected (UDVA) corrected (CDVA)...
In this work, we consider the solid-state dewetting of an axisymmetric thin film on a curved-surface substrate, with assumption that substrate morphology is also axisymmetric. Under assumptions axisymmetry, surface evolution problem can be reduced to curve static curved substrate. Based thermodynamic variation anisotropic energy, thoroughly derive sharp-interface model governed by diffusion, along appropriate boundary conditions. The continuum system satisfies laws energy decay and volume...
PURPOSE: To describe a case in which post-LASIK corneal ectasia was treated using an allogeneic lenticule implanted into the recipient eye. METHODS: A 29-year-old man presented with bilateral 10 years after LASIK. Manifest refraction −1.50 −3.25 × 15° right eye and −13.50 −6.00 10° left Because of contact lens intolerance eye, authors decided to implant allogenic lenticule, created by small incision extraction VisuMax laser (Carl Zeiss Meditec, Jena, Germany) donor +5.75 −0.50 15°. The...
To create a formula to predict refractive correction of autologous lenticule implantation for hyperopia (with myopia in one eye and the contralateral eye).In this prospective study, 10 consecutive patients (20 eyes) who had were included. The preoperative spherical equivalent was -3.31 ± 1.73 diopters (D) myopic eyes +4.46 1.97 D hyperopic eyes. For each patient, treated with small incision extraction subsequently implanted into eye. average length follow-up 17 months. All operations...
An overview of recent results from the MST reversed field pinch programme is presented. With neutral beam injection, bursty energetic particle (EP) modes are observed. The profiles magnetic and density fluctuations associated with these EP measured using a far infrared interferometer–polarimeter. Equilibrium reconstructions quasi-single-helicity 3D helical state provided by V3FIT code that now incorporates several MST's advanced diagnostics. orientation structure controlled new resonant...
New global straight field line coordinates are introduced for a toroidal plasma configuration. The new coordinate system provides canonical description of particle guiding center motion while maintaining the feature. These convenient combining MHD calculations with kinetic modeling energetic particles. We demonstrate how can be constructed by transforming poloidal and angles. Numerical examples show comparison various non-canonical same equilibrium
Abstract Atmospheric cold plasma jets with various configurations have drawn intense interests in diverse applications, such as surface modification and endoscopic applications. In this paper, a long ultra-flexible micro-sized jet generator is presented its characteristics are analyzed. The mainly consists of two concentric silicone tubes the inner one acting gas channel outer insulating layer heat high voltage. Gold thin film was sputtered on circular tube to work electrode well separation...
Nanoscale spin-valve structures with a width as small 70 nm were fabricated using nanoimprint lithography and ion milling or lift off. The multilayers consisting of NiFe(10 nm)/Co(1 nm)/Cu(13 nm)/Co(10 nm)/NiFe(2 nm) deposited direct current sputtering. effects device size, well fabrication process on domain structures, switching fields, field variation, giant magnetoresistive ratio investigated scanning electron microscopy, atomic force magnetic magnetoresistance measurements.
To report a first case of late-onset diffuse lamellar keratitis (DLK) occurring 4 years after femtosecond laser-assisted small incision lenticule extraction (SMILE). A 41-year-old man who underwent SMILE prior developed DLK in the right eye 1 day he was struck by finger while playing with his son. Slim-lamp microscopy and anterior segment optical coherence tomography (AS-OCT) were used to evaluate cornea eye. Slit-lamp examination revealed epithelial exfoliation stage 3 diffuse, dot-like,...
Abstract This paper investigates the effect of three different ring electrode configurations (copper wire [CWE], copper foil [CFE], and block [CBE]) on characteristics ring–ring typed atmospheric pressure plasma jet (APPJ) polyethylene terephthalate modification. The APPJ were simulated experimentally explored. results show that with CWE has maximum electric field magnitude, power, concentration reactive species, gas temperature. While CBE most uniform distribution stable discharge process....
Although acellular porcine corneal stroma (APCS) is a promising alternative to the human donor cornea for lamellar keratoplasty, here, we report 2 patients who exhibited persistent epithelial defects and sterile keratolysis after APCS transplantation treat peripheral diseases. Two with different diseases underwent keratoplasty by using D-shaped as graft materials. Standard postoperative treatments, including topical antibiotic-corticosteroid, tacrolimus, artificial tears, were applied.Patient...
In this paper, based on Social Network Analysis (SNA), the social network model of opinion leaders influencing public transmission is explored. The hot event, A Female Driver Was Beaten Due To Lane Change, has characteristics individual short-term and non-government intervention, which used to data extraction, formed structure transmission. And evolution mechanism are analyzed in three evolutionary situations. Opinion influence micro-blogging shows that type largely constrained by leaders,...
This study explores the effects of plasma shaping on magnetohydrodynamic mode stability and rotational stabilization in a tokamak, including both wall resistivity. Depending upon shape, safety factor, distance from wall, β-limit for is given by either resistive-plasma ideal-wall (tearing mode) limit or ideal-plasma resistive-wall (resistive limit. In order to explore this broad parameter space, sharp-boundary model developed with realistic geometry, resonant tearing surfaces, resistive wall....
This research aims to study the corneal morphological changes in adult patients with myopic anisometropia after small incision lenticule extraction (SMILE) and safety, efficacy, predictability of clinical outcomes. This was a prospective cohort study. Patients [refractive difference >2.0 diopters (D)] were included this who underwent SMILE at our hospital from September 2019 March 2021. For two eyes each patient, one higher myopia defined as group A, fellow eye B. The follow-up time points...
Excitation of Alfvén modes is commonly viewed as a concern for energetic particle confinement in burning plasmas. The 3.5 MeV alpha particles produced by fusion may be affected well other fast ions both present and future devices. Continuum damping such one the key factors that determine their excitation thresholds saturation levels. This work examines resonant dissipative response continuum to an oscillating driving current when frequency slightly outside edges toroidicity-induced spectral...

An investigation on the discharge characteristic of a dielectric barrier (DBD) device was carried out using bare and ZnO-coated alumina layer in atmospheric pressure air. Highly conductive ZnO film first deposited surface, characteristics were examined compared. Experimental result shows that behavior definitely improved case discharge. Relevant explanation is offered to describe its physics.
