Abstract This study investigates the influence of ultrasonic nanocrystal surface modification (UNSM) technique on mechanical characteristics and fatigue life two types annealed aged Inconel 718 alloys. The properties both UNSM‐treated alloys were compared with untreated specimens. alloy specimens was investigated by rotary‐bending tests. Results revealed that exhibited longer than those improvement in is mainly attributed to induced compressive residual stress subsurface UNSM technique.

Ultrasonic nanocrystal surface modification (UNSM) technology can be used for the treatment of specimens produced by additive manufacturing using directed energy deposition. We investigated change in quality characteristics treated with respect to UNSM process variables. The roughness and waviness deposited were adopted as objective functions optimal conditions determined response method (RSM). most affected static load, scanning speed having least effect. It was observed that a smaller...

Patients with spondylolysis or spondylolisthesis persistent symptoms often require surgical treatment. The purpose of this article is to present a new technique and clinical results 13 patients symptomatic spondylolysis/spondylolisthesis who were treated tension band wiring (intra- intersegmental) bone grafting techniques. This also presents the biomechanical effects these methods on canine lumbar spines experimental spondylolytlc defects. Thirteen adult patients, three spondylolysis, ten...

In this study, an ultrasonic nanocrystalline surface modification (UNSM) technique was applied to normal and heat-treated rails made of 60 kgK steel enhance the wear resistance wheel-rail interaction. The hardness compressive residual stress values untreated UNSM-treated were measured by Brinell tester X-ray diffraction technique, respectively. It found, according measurement results, that increased about 20% 8%, whereas induced 52% 62% for rails, rail showed a slightly higher than rail....
