Rhinocerebral mucormycosis is a life-threatening infection caused by saprophytic fungi seen almost exclusively in immunocompromised patients. The objective of this study was to describe the imaging findings patients with rhinocerebral mucormycosis. The case records biopsy/culture proven invasive were reviewed. Computed Tomography (CT) and/or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) images retrieved from Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) analyzed. Statistical analysis performed using...

Abstract Background Differential diagnosis in radiology is a critical aspect of clinical decision-making. Radiologists the early stages may find difficulties listing differential from image patterns. In this context, emergence large language models (LLMs) has introduced new opportunities as these have capacity to access and contextualize extensive information text-based input. Objective The objective study was explore utility four LLMs—ChatGPT3.5, Google Bard, Microsoft Bing, Perplexity—in...

Computed Tomography (CT) is the mainstay of diagnostic imaging evaluation thoracic disorders. However, there are a number CT protocols ranging from simple non-contrast at one end spectrum, and perfusion as complex protocol available only on high-end scanners. With growing diversity, pressing need for radiologists, clinicians to have basic understanding recommended examinations individual indications. This brief review aims summarise currently prevalent examination protocols, including their...

Objective Investigate the clinical landscape of ovarian carcinoma (OC) over time. Design Register‐based prospectively collected data. Setting South East Scotland. Sample A total 2805 OC patients diagnosed in 1981–2015. Methods Survival times were visualised using Kaplan–Meier method; median survival, 5‐year survival probabilities and associated restricted mean time analyses used to quantify differences. Main outcome measures Disease‐specific survival. Results significant increase...

PURPOSE There is a lack of literature on treating stage III non–oncogene-driven non–small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with low-dose immunotherapy in combination chemotherapy for patients who are not candidates local therapy up front. MATERIALS AND METHODS We performed an institutional retrospective analysis NSCLC deemed ineligible up-front therapy. The NACT + I/O group comprised those received induction nivolumab, and the NACT-alone alone. Propensity score matching was based stage, histology,...

We present the imaging findings in two cases of IgG4-related disease involving sinonasal region pediatric age group. Imaging affecting nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses have been rarely reported literature. The diagnosis is made by a combination clinical, imaging, histopathologic findings. Radiologists should be aware this condition to ensure early treatment.
