Abstract Background Carbon monoxide (CO), produced endogenously by heme oxygenase‐1, plays a crucial role in the immune system mitigating cellular damage under stress. However, significance of carboxyhemoglobin (COHb) levels after out‐of‐hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) is not well understood. This study aimed to explore association between COHb at hospital arrival and within first 24 h post‐arrival with 30‐day mortality neurological outcomes patients who experienced OHCA. Methods...
Multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C) is a newly described related to the COVID-19, resembling other known aetiologies, including Kawasaki disease. Cardiovascular involvement common; left ventricle dysfunction and coronary artery aneurysm (CAA) are also observed. Many treatment guidelines recommend using intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) alone or with glucocorticoids as first-line therapy. Biological agents, such anakinra, recommended for refractory cases, but evidence still...
<title>Abstract</title> Injury recurrence in young children is a significant public health concern, as it may indicate an unfavorable home environment. This study evaluates whether infantile injuries increase during preschool years, contributing to more effective prevention strategies for vulnerable families. The included 20,191 from "The Longitudinal Survey of Babies the 21st Century," representative sample infants born Japan between May 10 and 24, 2010. We conducted logistic regression...
Massive methanol exposure can lead to severe and detrimental effects that result in death or brain death. As organs from patients with after ingestion are less likely be recovered, these have been considered marginal donors. We present a case of successful multiple organ transplantation (heart, lungs, kidneys) methanol-poisoned patient. Our experience illustrates donor intoxication does not preclude transplantation.

The clinical impact of signs life (SOLs) in traumatic cardiac arrest (TCA) remains to be elucidated. aim this study was examine the association between SOLs and survival/neurological outcomes TCA patients.

Group A streptococcus (GAS) causes a wide variety of infections in the paediatric population, ranging from pharyngitis to rare but severe invasive diseases, such as bacterial arthritis and osteomyelitis. Dental neglect is type child which caregivers fail provide adequate care treatment for dental diseases. This results poor oral hygiene can lead complications including sepsis. We report case 4-year-old boy, suffering neglect, presenting with GAS subsequent right ankle, osteomyelitis talus...
Polydactyly is one of the most common foot congenital anomalies. It often detected immediately after birth, but diagnosis can sometimes be delayed if symptoms are less evident. A 2-year-old girl with a complaint recurrent bleeding from right toenail was diagnosed polydactyly. She underwent corrective surgery, and her family satisfied outcome. Although polydactyly may difficult in cases minor nail problems, further radiographic evaluation will needed for improvement patient's quality life.
Acute abdominal pain, a chief complaint frequently seen in the emergency department, can be triggered by vast range of conditions. Although ureterolithiasis is less common cause children, renal colic caused calculi due to hereditary metabolic diseases among patients those age groups. We report 12-year-old girl with pain who was diagnosed concurrent acute appendicitis and cystinuria. successfully treated cefmetazole, calculus eliminated after adequate fluid loading.Synchronous reported rare....
This study investigates temporal muscle atrophy in out-of-hospital cardiac arrest patients post-resuscitation, seeking associations with neurological outcomes and factors associated atrophy.
