A novel type of tubular structure with negative Poisson's ratio based on gyroid-type triply periodic minimal surfaces (TPMSs) is proposed in this study. This work an attempt to design auxetic structures TPMS. series were designed and then fabricated using laser power bed fusion. Compressive behaviours the investigated experimental numerical methods. To obtain optimal designs controllable properties, influence several parameters comprehensively. Subsequently, graded parametric analysis...

In this study, we analyzed the temporal trend of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in China using data reported over past 20 years. We found that total concentrations low molecular weight PAHs (CΣLPAHs) surface water and sediments were positively correlated with their emissions (EΣLPAHs), which increased between 2000 2008, then decreased until 2017. Additionally, high (C∑HPAHs) (EΣHPAHs), significantly from to 2014 plateaued. Two future scenarios assessed explore C∑LPAHs C∑HPAHs...

Long-term waterproofing and water leakage treatment of existing underground structures have become prominent issues in the operation maintenance structures. The use single organic or inorganic materials for is not effective solving practical engineering problems. Considering properties materials, a novel composite material mixing waterborne epoxy resin superfine ordinary Portland cement-sulphoaluminate cement was presented, which studied as polymer-modified cementitious plugging. This study...

The incidence of overweight and obesity has become a global public health problem, constituting major risk factor for numerous comorbidities. Despite tremendous efforts, effective pharmacological agents the treatment are still limited. Here, we showed that in contrast to lactate receptor GPR81, niacin GPR109A-deficient mice had progressive weight gain hepatic fat accumulation. Using high-fat diet–induced mouse model obesity, demonstrated apparently protected against without affecting food...

Abstract Hydroxycarboxylic acids are crucial metabolic intermediates involved in various physiological and pathological processes, some of which recognized by specific hydroxycarboxylic acid receptors (HCARs). HCAR2 is one such receptor, activated endogenous β-hydroxybutyrate (3-HB) butyrate, the target for Niacin. Interest has been driven its potential as a therapeutic cardiovascular neuroinflammatory diseases. However, limited understanding how ligands bind to this receptor hindered...

Hafnium nitride (HfN) possesses excellent mechanical properties such as high hardness and wear resistance, is usually used a protective coating on high-end equipment precision instruments. Nevertheless, the coefficient of friction HfN poses serious threat to instruments, so doping modifications are imperative. Here, coatings with different Ag contents were prepared by magnetron sputtering. It was found in experiments that introduction trace amount atoms (∼1.85 at.%) could replace Hf...
