A novel LiFePO4 cathode material (LFP@C/CNT) is demonstrated, whereby the nanoparticles are decorated with both an amorphous carbon coating and conducting nanotubes. This exhibits much improved electrochemical properties in terms of specific capacity, rate capability, cycling, low-temperature performances benefiting from enhanced electronic ionic conductivities, stabilized interface lower charge polarization compared to pristine LFP other carbon-decorated materials.
