Spherical magnetic iron particles were milled into different flake shapes, and their permittivity, permeability dispersion behaviors have been investigated within the frequency range of 1–8 GHz range. The results show that both permittivity values depend on particle shapes. These also demonstrate better microwave absorption performances.

Assuming the distance between two nodal points of a specific cable vibration mode as effective length pinned–pinned cable, shape–aided tension estimation methods are employed to estimate force. This article proposes framework based on digital image correlation technique for remote measurement dynamic displacement time history cables in structures. Frequency domain decomposition is then used extract natural frequencies and shapes. Identified shapes along with tensioned model Accuracy proposed...

In this paper, a broadband absorber utilizing monolayer molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) is proposed, and generalized interference theory (GIT) derived to investigate absorber. Using the hybrid Lorentz-Drude Gaussian model of MoS2 dyadic Green's functions, propagation properties are first investigated. Then, sandwich-like MoS2-based design proposed in visible regime. The structure mounted on fully reflective gold mirror, which forms Fabry-Perot resonator strengthen light-matter interactions...

Micromagnetic simulations have been performed to obtain the dynamic susceptibility spectra of 4×4 cobalt nanowire arrays with different spatial configurations and geometries. The isolated wires also simulated for comparison purposes. It is found that spectrum array bears a lot similarities an wire, such as occurrences edge mode bulk resonance mode. simulation results reveal behaves like single wire interwire distance grows extent, which believed due decrease magnetostatic interaction among...

The mode shape-aided method provides a simple and effective way for cable force determination, which, however, requires accurate parameter identification of the structure. This paper proposes phase-based video motion magnification to process image sequences cable. Digital correlations were engaged measure dynamic displacement–time history, through tracking surface characteristic features Thereafter, frequency–domain decomposition technique was applied extract natural frequency shape from...

Crystalline yttrium iron garnet (YIG) is an important magneto-optical material. However, this crystal incongruent melting compound. As well known, compared to the growth of a congruent compound by using Czochralski method, more difficult. In work, system for growing Ga:YIG single crystals edge-defined film-fed (EFG) method was designed and constructed, mechanism also preliminarily studied. The Ga 3+ dopant concentration, Curie temperature transmission spectra as-grown were investigated...

The decomposition of levulinic acid (LA) is a critical factor limiting the yield LA produced by biomass hydrolysis. In this study, effects influencing factors, especially furfural, on were investigated. Results show that as hemicellulose hydrolysis product, led to an increase in decomposition; 25.3% decomposed when furfural concentration was 0.3 mol/L at 200 °C. Furthermore, sulfuric acid, catalyst, found have synergistic effect with decomposition, giving maximum promotion 9.86% compared or...

Free-form surfaces are defined with NURBS (non-uniform rational basis spline) for most computer-aided engineering (CAE) applications. The method requires the definition of parameters such as weights, knot vectors and degree curves which make configuration surface computationally expensive complex. When control points randomly spaced in point cloud topology desired is unknown, becomes a challenging task. Optimization attempts create enormous amounts computing data when coupled physics solvers...
