In this paper, the surface of wollastonite powder is modified by sodium stearate, and amount modifier, modifying time, temperature slurry concentration are optimised. The mechanism revealed infrared radiation, scanning electron microscope particle size analyser. Results show that should change from hydrophilic to hydrophobic, contact angle 11 68°. Sodium stearate adsorbed on through chemical bond. After being modified, has better dispersion, it can be used in organic systems like plastic rubber.
