This study presents a significant advancement in green chemistry for methane storage through the development of novel and safe surfactant, disodium 1-(oleamido monoethanolamine) sulfosuccinate (DSOS), specifically designed to...
In this work, a series of experiments were carried to investigation rheological behavior crude oil using waxy sample in the absence/presence flow improver such as ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer. The data covered temperature range 5–30 °C. results indicated that performance was dependent on its molecular weight. Addition small quantities improver, can improve viscosity and pour point oil. Also, an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) model Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP) topology has been developed...
Abstract Despite the projected growth of computer and information technology occupations, many computing students fail to graduate. Studying students’ self-beliefs is one way understand persistence in a school setting. This paper explores how students' disciplinary identity sub-constructs including competence/performance, recognition, interest, sense belonging contribute academic persistence. A survey 1,640 as part an NSF grant was conducted at three South Florida metropolitan public...
Growth factors are generally believed to have a perpetuating role in the development of diabetic complications, However there is ample evidence protective or therapeutic potential for some them. IGF-I, according reports, may contribute complication development, although IGF-I has been claimed all late making it an exception among growth factors. Transforming factor (TGF)-β1 as pleiotropic cytokine key player immunoregulation. Dysregulation TGF-β1 diabetes addressed leading event kidney...
TNF-α has accelerating role in development of type 1 diabetes. Although an immunosupressor function and leading protecting T1DM also been claimed for this pro-inflammatory cytokine. Over-expression cytokines (Th1, like IFN-γ) drive insulitis toward the destructive form that leads to diabetes (T1DM). Among only IFN-γ detectable islet β cells. In deletion studies was Th1 cytokine which its ablation or blockade caused delayed decreased incidence T1DM.Functional polymorphisms at position...
A systematic change of HZSM-5 (HZ5) as a catalyst the methanol to aromatics (MTA) reaction was undertaken by employing fixed-bed tubular-type reactor under ambient pressure, applying weight hourly space velocity (WHSV) 2 h–1 at 375 °C, first report on application low-Si/Al-ratio alkaline-[Mo,Na]-HZSM-5 in MTA process. To characterize surface and textural properties catalysts, powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), nitrogen adsorption/desorption, temperature-programmed desorption ammonia (NH3-TPD),...
Bisphenol A (BPA), an endocrine disruptor, is associated with metabolic disorders. However, several studies have suggested that exposure to BPA can cause obesity. It has recently got more attention from scientists as a risk factor for obesity due its ability mimic natural estrogens and bind their receptors. Nonetheless, the molecular mechanism underpinning environmental etiology of disorders not been fully clarified. In this regard, directly disrupts regulation, neuroimmune signaling...
Kinetic hydrate inhibitor laboratory testing before field application is one of the key priorities in oil and gas industry. The common induction-time-based technique often used to evaluate screen for kinetic inhibitors (KHIs). However, main challenge relates stochastic nature nucleation observed fresh systems, which results scattered data on formation with unacceptable uncertainties. A much more precise KHI evaluation method, called crystal growth inhibition (CGI), provides comprehensive...
Herein, the methanol conversion to aromatic hydrocarbons was studied over a new family of mesoporous low-silica HZSM-5 (Si/Al = 11) catalysts in fixed-bed tubular reactor under ambient pressure at 375 °C, feeding with weight hourly space velocity 2 h–1. The were prepared absence and presence Zn Fe both alkaline neutral aqueous solutions, characterized by using X-ray diffraction, fluorescence, temperature programmed desorption ammonia, N2 adsorption/desorption, thermogravimetric analysis,...
In this work, the influence of NaCl on natural sweet and sour gas hydrate formation in pressure 115 bar isothermal conditions (8 °C) have been compared. Salt concentration experiments was range 1-7 wt% inhibitor used at a constant 0.5 wt%. The results show that presence salt has more effective inhibition time, growth also kinetic performance system due to role ions decreasing solubility acidic gases (including H2S CO2) water.
Hydrate phase equilibrium data on mixed ternary gas systems, including low-concentration hydrogen sulfide in the presence of inhibitors, are very limited literature. In this study, we experimentally investigated effect combined monoethylene glycol and brine (containing sodium chloride or calcium salts) inhibiting sour hydrate (CH4 + C3H8 H2S) formation. The formation experiments were performed temperature pressure ranges 276.75–296.05 K 2.29–12.08 MPa, respectively, using isochoric method...
Thermodynamic modeling of hydrate equilibrium conditions for sour gas mixture (CH4/C3H8/H2S) in the presence pure water and thermodynamic inhibitor(s) (MEG, NaCl, CaCl2) was investigated this study. Hydrate vapor phases were evaluated using van der Waals Plattueew model, Peng-Robinson EoS along with classic mixing rule, respectively. As a different approach, by combining non-synonymous salt ions forming ion pairs, they can be considered as molecular species. So pair concept used to...
This work generated experimental gas hydrate equilibrium data with a composition containing CH4 (99 mol fraction) + H2S (1 similar to the field. The stepwise heating isochoric pressure search method was used for uninhibited and inhibited systems mono-ethylene glycol (MEG). Thermodynamic consistency of in presence MEG performed each concentration. Based on three assessments presented, good 15 20 wt % moderate 10 %. Finally, an in-house model developed based data. proposed given assumptions...
Summary Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and experimental studies were applied to evaluate a novel turbulence-based scaleup method capable of matching systems with different geometries. This study specializes in determining optimum agitation speed laboratory reactors used for flow assurance match the hydrodynamic condition three-phase pipelines. Turbulence parameters calculated using CFD laboratory-scale reactor at various mixing speeds real large-scale pipe. The calculations pipeline...
