Secondary angiosarcoma of the breast is a rare but severe long-term complication cancer treated with breast-conserving surgery and radiotherapy. We characterized population-based cohort patients secondary angiosarcomas from two tertiary hospitals to investigate this respect surgical treatment outcome. We identified 35 history radiation for that developed in irradiated field 1990 2009. Of these, 31 underwent were included analysis.Angiosarcoma after median 7 years (range 3-25 years). R0...

Optimal treatment of soft-tissue sarcoma requires multidisciplinary management at a center. However, these rare tumors are often misinterpreted as benign and many inadequately treated outside center, with an increased risk local recurrence that further extensive surgical treatment. To improve referral centralization in the southern Sweden health care region, open-access outpatient clinic our center simple guidelines have been established for past thirty years. Angiosarcomas may develop as primary tumours of unknown cause or secondary tumours, most commonly following radiotherapy to the involved field. The different causative agents be linked alternate tumorigenesis, which led us investigate genetic profiles morphologically indistinguishable and angiosarcomas.Whole-genome (18k) c-DNA-mediated annealing, selection, extension ligation analysis was used genetically profile 26 29 angiosarcomas. Key findings were thereafter validated using RT-qPCR,...

Results of optical-absorption experiments on heavily irradiated NaCl single crystals are presented. The dose rates were between 4 and 250 Mrad/h; the doses 1 7 Grad. irradiation temperatures in range 20--150 \ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}C. Because intense optical bands, thickness samples had to be reduced values 2 100 \ensuremath{\mu}m using a thinning device. With this device we able investigate containing about mol % Na ${\mathrm{Cl}}_{2}$. spectra samples, at low temperatures, show...

Retroperitoneal sarcomas are rare and treatment should optimally be centralized. Despite successful centralization with 90% of the patients referred prior to surgery, delays occur, which led us assess lead times in a population-based series. Method. Patients diagnosed retroperitoneal sarcoma southern Sweden health care region 2003-2009 were eligible for study. Data on referrals diagnostic investigations collected from clinical files primary care, local hospitals, centre. Lead divided into...

We report measurements on the melting behavior of colloids produced in irradiated NaCl. With differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) several latent-heat peaks near temperature pure bulk sodium metal have been detected. It appears that total latent heat these is an accurate measure amount damage crystal. Peak and shape provide more detailed information about properties colloids. The different temperatures can be explained by differences typical sizes colloid, based theory for small particles....

Abstract The model presented here offers an extensive description of the nucleation and aggregation processes in irradiated NaCl. In particular effect impurities on production radiation damage has been studied. As compared to theoretical models literature approach shows following refinements: (1) behaviour for primary defects is included. Dislocation loops are formed by consecutive trapping H-centres at impurity sites. Colloid described coagulation F-centres into higher order clusters. With...

Background This feasibility study presents the results of a new intensive treatment regimen for locally advanced extremity soft tissue sarcomas (ESTS), consisting hyperthermic isolated limb perfusion (HILP), preoperative external beam radiotherapy (EBRT), and surgical resection. Methods From 2011 to 2016, 11 high grade ESTS patients underwent this regimen. Abstract During irradiation of NaCl with ionizing radiation at moderate temperatures (50–150°C) irregular structures very fine Na and Cl nano-precipitates are formed.
