Dissolved H 2 O in silicate melts and glasses plays a crucial role volcanic eruptions on terrestrial planets affects glass properties magma evolution. In this paper, major progress several aspects of the O‐melt (or glass) system is reviewed, consistency among variety data investigated, discrepancies are evaluated, confusion clarified. On infrared measurement total species concentrations, calibration for has been carried out at room temperature. The measurements rhyolitic have undergone most...

In this paper we discuss the distribution, geochemical cycle, and evolution of CO2 N2 in Earth's degassed mantle, atmosphere plus continental crust. We estimate present distribution mantle based on amounts He Ar observed outgassing ratios CO2/He N2>/Ar at mid-ocean ridges. Estimated is (1.8−6+9) × 1022 mol, representing (72 ± 10)% total degassable CO2, an amount far higher than fractions previously inferred for noble gases. This strongly suggests that most has been recycled from surface into...

Knowledge about the properties of silicate melts is needed by volcanologists and petrologists to evaluate dynamics volcanic eruptions magmatic processes. These include solubility diffusivity volatile components in melts, melt viscosity, fragmentation condition. Data models each property are reviewed assessed. For rhyolitic many sufficiently well known allow realistic modeling One interesting example role speciation H 2 O CO . Even though both present as at least two species, complexity...

Abstract Background Metaplastic breast carcinoma is a rare aggressive malignant neoplasm. The purposes of this study are to review the pathologic features and clinical outcomes metaplastic compared invasive ductal evaluate prognosis carcinoma. Methods cases 55 patients with carcinomapresenting between 1991 2006 were analyzed 767 age-matched from same time period. Results group presented larger tumor size, lower lymph node involvement, higher percentage triple-negative (estrogen receptor-,...

Research into the etiology of breast cancer has recently focused on role immunity and inflammation. The proinflammatory cytokines IL-17A IL-17F can mediate inflammation cancer. To evaluate influences gene polymorphisms risk sporadic cancer, a case-control study was conducted in Chinese Han women. We genotyped three single-nucleotide (SNPs) (rs2275913, rs3819025 rs3748067) five SNPs (rs7771511, rs9382084, rs12203582, rs1266828 rs763780) to determine haplotypes 491 women with 502 healthy...
