We have studied the reaction $p+$$^{27}\mathrm{Al}$ $\ensuremath{\rightarrow}$ $^{3}\mathrm{He}$$+p+{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}+X$ at recoil-free kinematics. An $\ensuremath{\eta}$ meson possibly produced in this would be thus almost rest laboratory system and could therefore bound with high probability, if nuclear states exist. The decay of such a state through ${N}^{*}(1535)$ resonance lead to proton-${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ pair emitted opposite directions. For these...
Several processes of meson production in proton-deuteron collisions have been measured simultaneously using a calibrated magnetic spectrograph. Among these processes, the $η$ is seen clearly as sharp missing--mass peak on slowly varying background $p+d\to ^3\textrm{He} +X$ reaction. Knowing kinematics other reactions with well determined masses, it possible to deduce precise mass for meson. The final result, $m(η)=547.311\pm 0.028 \textrm{(stat)} \pm 0.032 \textrm{(syst) MeV/c}^2$,...
Beam momentum dependence of the experimental cross sections for pd3Hπ+/3Heπ0 reactions have been studied at large proton-pion relative angle. The measurements were performed five beam momenta in region η meson production threshold. Observed behavior measured ratio reveals manifestations isospin symmetry breaking effects. A simple model allows one to interpret terms π0−η mixing. Based on that analysis results leads mixing angle value 0.006±0.005rad. Received 3 June...
The reaction pp -> K^+ + (Lambda p) has been measured at T_p = 1.953 GeV and \Theta 0 deg with a high missing mass resolution in order to study the Lambda p final state interaction. Narrow S -1 resonances predicted by bag model calculations are not visible spectrum. Small structures observed previous experiment confirmed. Upper limits for production cross section of narrow resonance deduced masses between 2058 2105 MeV/c^2.
Inclusive measurements of pion production in proton-proton collisions the forward direction were undertaken at 400 and 600 MeV cooler synchrotron (COSY) Forschungszentrum Julich using Big Karl spectrograph. The high resolution π+ momentum ensured that there was an unambiguous separation pp→π+d/π+pn channels. Using these earlier data, ratio cross sections could be followed through Δ region compared with predictions final state interaction theory. Deviations are strongly influenced by...
The positively charged pions produced in proton–proton collisions at a beam momentum of 1640 MeV/c were measured the forward direction with high resolution magnetic spectrograph. missing mass distribution shows bound state (deuteron) clearly separated from pn continuum. Despite very good resolution, there is no evidence for any significant production system spin-singlet state. However, σ(pp→π+pn)/σ(pp→π+d) cross section ratio about twice as large that predicted S-wave final-state-interaction...
A stack of annular detectors made high purity germanium was used to measure p+d→3He+π0 and p+d→3H+π+ differential total cross sections at beam momenta from 900 1050 MeV/c. The are consistent with Δ-excitation. data consist two components. One corresponds large momentum transfer the projectile pion, other small transfer. former shows an independence slope as function t (scaling). scale parameter is different for π+ π0 emission which violates isospin symmetry. second component almost isotropic...
Double-loop tendons of fixed and adjustable lengths, with inner porous tapes both for anastomosis to tendon stumps have been made from readily available materials. By using stainless steel wire polymer fibers, breakloads obtained that range 20 100 lb elongations reduced less than 2%. Pore sizes up 50 times 250 mu2 were achieved by woven, knitted, braided polyester tapes. For all tendons, Silastic was used isolate fibers effect smooth gliding. Preliminary evaluation these devices, after being...
The differential cross sections of the charge exchange reaction dp → (pp)n has been measured at 1.75 GeV/c momentum per nucleon for small transferred momenta using one arm magnetic spectrometer STRELA Nuclotron accelerator. ratio section to that np pn elementary process is discussed in order estimate spin-dependent part amplitude on basis data. turned out be predominantly spin-dependent.

The reaction p + CH2→ forward charge particle X is used for this aim traditionally. Analyzing power of falls off as 1/p, where the laboratory momentum. At proton momenta order 8 GeV/c, which are expected at JLab experiment, low analyzing creates problems off-line analysis data. On other hand, it well known that p+p → has much more power. So, calorimeter predestinated suppression inelastic events in reaction. In report shown problem solved quite well.
