INTRODUCTION: This study investigates the applicability of new metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) nomenclature to real-world TARGET-NASH US adult cohort. METHODS: The MASLD/metabolic steatohepatitis was applied patients enrolled with pragmatic diagnoses nonalcoholic fatty and (NASH), NASH cirrhosis concordance were determined between definitions. RESULTS: Approximately 99% participants met MASLD diagnostic criteria. 1,484/1,541 (96.3%, kappa 0.974) (metabolic...

Polyacrylamide (PAM) is a water-soluble polymer that widely used as flocculant in sewage treatment. The accumulation of PAM affects the formation dewatered sludge and potentially produces hazardous monomers. In present study, bacterial strain HI47 was isolated from sludge. This could metabolize its sole nutrient source subsequently identified Pseudomonas putida. efficiency degradation 31.1% 7 days exceeded 45% under optimum culture condition (pH 7.2, 39 °C 100 rpm). addition yeast extract...

A new material, activated carbon monolith, can be used as an adsorbent to remove volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Vapor−solid adsorption isotherms of three VOCs (toluene, 1-butanol, and ethyl acetate) on monolith were measured at: 20 °C, 60 100 140 °C using a microbalance. The experimental data correlated with the following isotherm models: Langmuir, Freundlich, Langmuir−Freundlich, Toth equations. Langmuir−Freundlich equations provided good fits data.

A new adsorbing material, an activated carbon monolith, was used for the adsorption of toluene vapors and their desorption by electrothermal heating using Joule effect. The monolith appears under shape a parallelepiped square section including four hundred parallel channels. Equilibrium isotherms on piece this material at various temperatures were measured gravimetric method. breakthrough fronts show that it is effective cleaning gas. Desorption performed means continuous electric current...

ABSTRACT Rice bran oil was acetone fractionated at low temperature. Two methods, independent fractionation ( − 8, 14 and 35C) sequential (0, 8 14C), were compared for the preparation of triacylglycerol (TG) fraction‐enriched unsaturated fatty acids (UFAs). Among all fractions obtained from both liquid fraction 35C referred to as 35L best (89.6%) other procedures used enrichment UFAs. However, when weight yield considered, largest amount UFAs 0C (0L) fractionation. After 0C, 87.5 wt %...

The aim of this study was to examine the ability macroporous resin adsorption (MRA) (1) adsorb and purify apple polyphenol, a natural flavonoid with antioxidant properties, (2) optimize polyphenol purification. desorption rates were obtained as indices compare five types resins (MR) on basis performances polyphenol. Apple purification involved three independent variables, namely, flow rate, concentration, pH; these variables examined through response surface methodology. Results showed that...

ABSTRACT: Rice bran oil (RBO) was modified through lipase‐catalyzed glycerolysis. After 48 h reaction, the reactant (RBO‐G, solved in hexane) containing 0.14 mg/mL of MAG, 0.19 DAG, and 0.93 TAG obtained. Extending reaction to 72 resulted 0.37 DAG with concomitant reduction (0.68 mg/mL). Two solvent fractionation methods, independent sequential fractionation, were performed acetone hexane at 0, −8, −14, or −35 °C. The fraction most unsaturated fatty acids (ΣUFA) liquid from °C (−35In)...

Abstract Electrothermal desolption is an electricity‐promoted technology developed only in the last decade. It extremely eficient and straightforward when adsorbent electrically conductive, since heating can be achieved by Joule effect. The volatile organic compound (VOC) vapors desorbing from micropores might redistribute condense mesopores with high concentration, which possible no dilution occurs. To study this problem, benzene activated carbon were used as working system, a theoretical...

Parameter estimation is needed for process management, design, and reactor scaling when values from the literature vary tremendously or are unavailable. A Bayesian approach, implemented via Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) simulations using SAS software, was used to estimate kinetic parameters of toluene trichloroethylene (TCE) biodegradation by microorganism Pseudomonas putida F1 in batch cultures. The prediction capabilities were illustrated comparing predicted observed data reported...
