The present study aims to summarise the accessory muscles of anterior thoracic wall and axilla that can be encountered during breast axillary surgery record their incidence clinical significance. Moreover, laterality atypical is highlighted possible gender dimorphism referred. Accessory include: Langer's arch, sternalis muscle, chondrocoracoideus, chondroepitrochlearis, chondrofascialis, pectoralis minimus, quartus intermedius.
The study adds important information regarding the descriptive anatomy of a very rarely reported unilateral chondrocoracoideus muscle (of Wood). Additionally it highlights concomitant muscular and neural alterations. The current case presents occurrence situated left-sided, as an extension abdominal portion pectoralis major (PM). coexisted with contralateral atypical PM, partially blended clavicular fibers deltoid muscle. There was accessory head biceps brachii while palmaris longus absent on...
Negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) has emerged as an adjunct to reduce complication rates in many surgical domains. This study investigated the prophylactic use of PICO NPWT high-risk patients undergoing oncoplastic and reconstructive breast surgery. This was a prospective multicenter national audit. The findings were compared against Association Breast Surgery/British Plastic, Reconstructive Aesthetic Surgeons (ABS/BAPRAS) Oncoplastic Guidelines for best practice.Data from 267 included...
Background: Encysted papillary carcinoma (EPC) is a rare breast neoplasm that mainly affects postmenopausal women. The purpose of this study was to examine whether sentinel node biopsy would be deemed necessary in patients with diagnosis EPC and determine if evidence invasiveness can diagnosed on core needle sufficient confidence guide decision making for upfront axillary SLNB.Methods: available data the were reviewed at tertiary cancer unit over period 10 years (2009-2019) concordance...
Mucormycosis is an uncommon necrotizing infection caused by fungi within the class Zygomycetes and order Mucorales. It mainly occurs in immunocompromised states, including diabetes, with rhinocerebral disease being most common type of mucormycosis seen patients diabetes. The aim this study to document pathogenesis clinical presentation as well emphasize need early recognition aggressive treatment disease, it only chance increase survival rate.
Objective: Oncoplastic breast surgery is well-established but has a higher risk of wound complications. This may result in delay receiving adjuvant therapy, increased hospital visits with associated financial implications, and sub-optimal cosmetic outcomes. Negative pressure therapy (NPWT) emerged as an additional tool to reduce complication rates, further evaluation required evaluate its efficacy. study investigated the prophylactic use PICO® NPWT patients undergoing oncoplastic surgery. We...
