Endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) act as endothelial precursors that promote new blood vessel formation and increase angiogenesis by secreting growth factors cytokines in ischemic tissues. These facts prompt the hypothesis EPC transplantation should accelerate wound-repair process facilitating neovascularization production of various molecules related to wound healing. In a murine dermal excisional model, accelerated re-epithelialization compared with mature (ECs) control mice. When wounds...

The intracellular pathogen Mycobacterium tuberculosis ( Mtb ) causes tuberculosis. Enhanced survival (Eis) protein, secreted by , enhances of smegmatis Msm in macrophages. Eis was shown to suppress host immune defenses negatively modulating autophagy, inflammation, and cell death through JNK-dependent inhibition reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation. recently demonstrated contribute drug resistance acetylating multiple amines aminoglycosides. However, the mechanism enhanced remains...

Phenylboronic acid‐functionalized chondroitin sulfate A (CSA)–deoxycholic‐acid (DOCA)‐based nanoparticles (NPs) are prepared for tumor targeting and penetration. (3‐Aminomethylphenyl)boronic acid (AMPB) is conjugated to CSA–DOCA conjugate via amide bond formation, its successful synthesis confirmed using proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy ( 1 H‐NMR). Doxorubicin (DOX)‐loaded CSA–DOCA–AMPB NPs with a mean diameter of ≈200 nm, narrow size distribution, negative zeta potential,...

The notion of peer influence in new product adoption or trial is well accepted. We propose that may affect repeat behavior as well, though the process and source are likely to differ between repeat. Our analysis acceptance a risky prescription drug by physicians provides three novel findings. First, there evidence contagion not only but also Second, who most influential varies across stages. Physicians with high centrality discussion referral network volume In contrast, immediate colleagues,...

Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR) alpha/gamma dual agonists have the potential to be used as therapeutic agents for treatment of type 2 diabetes. This study evaluated function macelignan, a natural compound isolated from Myristica fragrans, agonist PPARalpha/gamma and investigated its antidiabetes effects in animal models.GAL4/PPAR chimera transactivation was performed expression target genes monitored examine ability macelignan activate PPARalpha/gamma. Additionally,...

On the basis of potent antiviral activity acyclovir and ganciclovir, selenoacyclovir (2a) selenoganciclovir (2b) were designed based on bioisoteric rationale synthesized via diselenide 7 as key intermediate. Compound 2a exhibited anti-HSV-1 -2 activities while 2b exerted moderate anti-HCMV activity, indicating that these nucleosides can serve a novel template for development new agents.

The synthesis process or composition of mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSNs) affects the physicochemical properties. Using these properties, MSNs were synthesized through Box–Behnken design (BBD) among statistical experimental methods. effect amounts synthetic reagents, hexadecyl triethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB), tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS), and 2 N sodium hydroxide (NaOH), was studied using reaction surface design. Surface area, particle size, zeta potential set as response values....
