Abstract Background Long-term outcomes of lung transplantation (LTx) remain hampered by chronic allograft dysfunction (CLAD). Matrix metalloproteinase 9 (MMP-9) is a secretory endopeptidase identified as key mediator in fibrosis processes associated with CLAD. The objective this study was to investigate whether plasma MMP9 levels may be prognostic CLAD development. Methods Participants were selected from the Cohort Lung Transplantation (COLT) for which biocollection associated. We considered...
Abstract Background The aim of our study was to describe the lung cancer characteristics in transplant recipients at institution. Methods Between January 1, 1992, and August 15, 2017, 463 patients underwent transplantation. Results We found a total 19 cancers (4.10%). Eight had explanted lung, 8 native remaining 3 transplanted lung. Histopathological findings were: adenocarcinoma 10, SCC patients, 1 undetermined. Among lungs, there were 6 stage I, III, IV. with early disease 5 IV disease. II...
Lung transplant (LT) recipients are at greater risk of complications from COVID-19. Treatment options limited partly due to interactions with immunosuppressive agents. Convalescent plasma (CP) is a potential treatment option, but it has not been extensively studied in LT patients. We aimed assess the efficacy and safety CP use France for COVID-19 infected
The clinical and social impacts of the COVID-19 epidemic on lung transplant (LTx) recipients remain poorly known. We aimed to evaluate its social, clinical, behavioral consequences LTx patients followed in Strasbourg university hospital. A questionnaire was used collect details concerning patients' lifestyles, their protection methods avoid contamination, infection-related information for March 2020. specific score created quantify contacts associated risk infectious contagion. Data were...
Quality of life is a multidimensional concept that encompasses medical, social, cultural, psychological and economic factors. It based on four dimensions: physical state, somatic sensations, state social status.Regarding the quality psychic evolution after transplantation, among criteria are usually analysed we find adaptation to bodily changes management anxiety [5,6].Postoperative time course painful due thoracic scar,
