The angular distributions of the cross section, proton analyzing power, and all polarization transfer coefficients $\stackrel{\ensuremath{\rightarrow}}{p}d$ elastic scattering were measured at 250 MeV. range center-of-mass angles was $10\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}--165\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}$ for section about $10\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}--95\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}$ coefficients. These are first measurements a complete set observables intermediate...
Double differential cross sections between 0°–12° were measured for the 90Zr(n, p) reaction at 293 MeV over a wide excitation energy range of 0–70 MeV. A multipole decomposition technique was applied to present data as well previously obtained 90Zr(p, n) extract Gamow–Teller (GT) component from continuum. The GT quenching factor Q derived by using total strengths. result is Q=0.88±0.06, not including an overall normalization uncertainty in unit section 16%.
The differential cross sections and vector analyzing powers for nd elastic scattering at En=248 MeV were measured 10°–180° in the center-of-mass (c.m.) system. To cover wide angular range, experiments performed separately by using two different setups forward backward angles. data are compared with theoretical results based on Faddeev calculations realistic nucleon-nucleon (NN) forces such as AV18, CD Bonn, Nijmegen I II, their combinations three-nucleon (3NFs), Tucson-Melbourne 99 (TM99),...
The 3-GeV rapid cycling synchrotron (RCS) of the Japan Proton Accelerator Research Complex (J-PARC) was commissioned in October 2007, and successfully accomplished 3 GeV acceleration on 31. Six run cycles through February 2008 were dedicated to commissioning RCS, for which initial machine parameter tuning various underlying beam studies completed. Then since May RCS has been delivered downstream facilities their commissioning. In this paper we describe study results following our scenario a...
The fine structure of the Gamow-Teller resonance in a medium-heavy nucleus is observed for first time high-resolution $^{90}\mathrm{Zr}(^{3}\mathrm{He},t)^{90}\mathrm{Nb}$ experiment at Research Center Nuclear Physics, Osaka. Using novel wavelet analysis technique, it possible to extract characteristic energy scales and quantify their relative importance generation structure. This method combined with selectivity reaction permits an extraction level density ${1}^{+}$ states $^{90}\mathrm{Nb}$.
Under the assumption that isospin T is a good quantum number, isobaric analog states and various analogous transitions among these are expected in isobars with mass number A. Strengths of Gamow-Teller (GT) $M1$ have been compared for an $A=26$ isobar triplet ${T}_{z}=+1, 0,$ $\ensuremath{-}1,$ where ${T}_{z}$ defined by ${T}_{z}=(N\ensuremath{-}Z)/2.$ The ${T}_{z}=+\stackrel{\ensuremath{\rightarrow}}{1}0$ GT from ${J}^{\ensuremath{\pi}}{=0}^{+}$ ground state ${}^{26}\mathrm{Mg}$ to excited...
Isospin is a good quantum number under the assumption that nuclear interaction charge independent. An analogous structure of excited states expected for nuclei with same mass $A$ but different $z$ components ${T}_{z}$ isospin $T$, where ${T}_{z}=(N\ensuremath{-}Z)/2$. The has been studied isobaric $^{58}\mathrm{Ni}$ and $^{58}\mathrm{Cu}$ by comparing transitions from ground state (initial ${T}_{i}=1$ ${J}^{\ensuremath{\pi}}={0}^{+}$) to $M1$ Gamow-Teller (GT)...
The $^{11}$B($^3$He$, t$), $^{11}$B($d, d'$), and $^{11}$B($p, p'$) reactions were measured at forward scattering angles including $0^\circ$ to study the isovector isoscalar spin-flip M1 strengths in $^{11}$B. t$) cross sections compared with results of distorted-wave impulse-approximation (DWIA) calculation, Gamow-Teller (GT) for low-lying states $^{11}$C determined. GT converted using isobaric analog relations under assumption isospin symmetry. obtained from ($d, d'$) analysis by assuming...
The Gamow-Teller (GT) transition strengths in fp-shell nuclei are important parameters presupernova models. A high-energy-resolution (He3,t) experiment was performed on the Tz=1 nucleus Ti46 at 0° and an intermediate incident energy of 140 MeV/nucleon for study precise GT to final Tz=0 V46. With resolution 33 keV, individual transitions were observed derived them up excitation 4.5 MeV. compared with shell-model calculations using various effective interactions. In this low-lying region, most...
Angular distributions of the differential cross section and induced polarization ${}^{3}\mathrm{He}$ elastic scattering on ${}^{12}\mathrm{C},$ ${}^{58}\mathrm{Ni},$ ${}^{90}\mathrm{Zr}$ targets were measured at 443 MeV incident energy. This is first measurement spin observables intermediate energies. Cross sections polarizations in range center-of-mass angles $5\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}--30\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}$...
In the Japan Proton Accelerator Research Complex, purpose of 3 GeV rapid cycling synchrotron (RCS) is to accelerate a 1 MW, high-intensity proton beam. To achieve beam operation at repetition rate 25 Hz high intensities, RCS was elaborately designed. After starting operation, we carefully verified validity its design and made certain improvements establish reliable higher power as possible. Consequently, demonstrated power, namely, MW. We then summarized design, actual performance, MW
The magnetic dipole $(M1)$ operator consists not only of the usually dominant isovector (IV) spin $(\ensuremath{\sigma}\ensuremath{\tau})$ term, but also IV orbital $(l\ensuremath{\tau}),$ isoscalar (IS) $(\ensuremath{\sigma}),$ and IS (l) terms. On other hand, Gamow-Teller (GT) contains $\ensuremath{\sigma}\ensuremath{\tau}$ term. Under assumption that isospin is a good quantum number, isobaric analog structure expected in pair $T=1/2$ mirror nuclei, thus analogous transitions are found....
After 50 years of its prediction, the highest-lying [2 0 2]3/2 orbit among six Nilsson single-particle orbits originating from sd shells in prolately deformed nuclei and rotational band on this were identified. The members observed 25Al at excitation energies 6-7.5 MeV a high-resolution 25Mg(3He,t) charge-exchange reaction degrees having strong selectivity for Gamow-Teller transitions. In comparison with analogous M1 transitions 25Mg, J(pi)=3/2(+) bandhead state excited 5/2(+) 7/2(+) clearly...

The activation and deterioration mechanisms of the Ti-Zr-V non-evaporable getter (NEG) coating have been investigated. Operando analysis surface chemical composition change was performed by synchrotron radiation photoelectron spectroscopy (SRPES) during process heating sample to 250°C, corresponding NEG coating. oxidation also characterized SRPES injection O2 gas into chamber while keeping at depth profile oxidized measured with X-ray spectroscopy. experimental results suggested that Zr gets...
A gas-sheet beam profile monitor enabling non-destructive two-dimensional measurements of a high-intensity by capturing an image beam-induced fluorescence was developed. For quantitative measurements, the monitor’s response function comprising, e.g., gas sheet density distribution and detector’s sensitivity distributions must be experimentally clarified because output is converted with function. measurement method devised based on beam-profile-measurement formula monitor. The obtained...
