Abstract Temperature profoundly affects macromolecular function, particularly in proteins with temperature sensitivity 1,2 . However, its impact is often overlooked biophysical studies that are typically performed at non-physiological temperatures, potentially leading to inaccurate mechanistic and pharmacological insights. Here we demonstrate temperature-dependent changes the structure function of TRPM4, a temperature-sensitive Ca 2+ -activated ion channel 3–7 By studying TRPM4 prepared...

Fifty-three Mycoplasma pneumoniae strains were isolated from pediatric patients in Shanghai, China, October 2005 to February 2008. Of 53 clinical isolates, 44 (83%) resistant erythromycin (MICs of >128 microg/ml for all strains), azithromycin, and clarithromycin. All macrolide-resistant M. harbored an A-to-G transition mutation at position 2063 23S rRNA genes. Forty-five (85%) isolates classified into the P1 gene restriction fragment length polymorphism type I, six (11%) II.

Gaussian process (GP)-based robust optimization is an effective tool in product quality improvement. However, most existing variable selection methods are designed for parametric models and unsuitable nonparametric GP models. Additionally, improving the prediction accuracy of with limited design points remains a significant challenge optimization. To address these issues, this article proposes GP-based multi-stage parameter method that integrates symmetry modeling, sensitivity analysis (SA),...

Protein nanocapsules have exhibited promising potential applications in the field of protein drug delivery. A major issue with various nano-sized biotherapeutics including is that owing to their particle size they are subject cellular uptake via endocytosis, and become entrapped then degraded within endolysosomes, which can significantly impair therapeutic efficacy. In addition, many could be also sequestered by autophagosomes through autolysosomal pathway. Thus, a limiting step achieving an...
