The internal-conversion and internal-pair-production decays of the first excited 0${}^{+}$ state in $^{68}\mathrm{Ni}$ are studied following $\ensuremath{\beta}$ decay $^{68}\mathrm{Co}$. A novel experimental technique, which ions $^{68}\mathrm{Co}$ were implanted into a planar germanium double-sided strip detector required digital pulse processing, is developed. values for energy electric monopole transition strength from to ground determined be 1605(3) keV...
Reactions induced by radioactive $^{6,8}\mathrm{He}$ beams from the SPIRAL facility were studied on $^{63,65}\mathrm{Cu}$ and $^{188,190,192}\mathrm{Os}$ targets compared to reactions with stable $^{4}\mathrm{He}$ projectiles Mumbai Pelletron. Partial residue cross sections for fusion neutron transfer obtained measured intensities of characteristic in-beam $\ensuremath{\gamma}$ rays $^{6}\mathrm{He}+^{63,65}\mathrm{Cu}$ systems are presented. Coincidence measurements heavy reaction products,...
Complete fusion excitation functions for B11,10+Tb159 have been measured at energies around the respective Coulomb barriers, and existing complete measurements Li7+Tb159 extended to higher energies. The show significant reduction of cross sections above-barrier both reactions, B10+Tb159 Li7+Tb159, when compared those B11+Tb159. comparison shows that extent suppression is correlated with α-separation projectiles. Also, two were found produce incomplete products near α-particle emitting...
Excited-state spectroscopy from the first Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB) experiment is reported. A 24(2)-$\mu$s isomer was observed with FRIB Decay Station initiator (FDSi) through a cascade of 224- and 401-keV $\gamma$ rays in coincidence $^{32}\textrm{Na}$ nuclei. This only known microsecond ($1{\text{ }\mu\text{s}}\leq T_{1/2} < 1\text{ ms}$) region. nucleus at heart $N=20$ island shape inversion crossroads spherical shell-model, deformed ab initio theories. It can be represented...
Results for the cross section and average angular momentum complete fusion at energies around Coulomb barrier are presented 7Li with 165Ho. Comparison of sections a one-dimensional penetration model, using potential consistent measured elastic scattering, showed reduction above an enhancement below it. An increase in momentum, <l>, its consistency that obtained from excitation function weakly bound nuclei, is reported. These results together reanalysis existing data conclusively demonstrate...
The low-energy level structure of the exotic Na isotopes $^{28,29}\mathrm{Na}$ has been investigated through $\ensuremath{\beta}$-delayed $\ensuremath{\gamma}$ spectroscopy. $N=20$ isotones for $Z=10--12$ are considered to belong ``island inversion'' where intruder configurations dominate ground state wave function. However, it is an open question as and how transition from normal dominated happens in isotopic chain. present work, which presents first detailed spectroscopy...
The beta decay of 33Mg (N=21) presented in this Letter reveals intruder configurations both the parent and daughter nucleus. lowest excited states N=20 nucleus, 33Al, are found to have nearly 2p-2h configuration, thus extending "island inversion" beyond Mg. allowed direct beta-decay branch 5/2{+} ground state nucleus 33Al implies positive parity for 33Mg, contrary an earlier suggestion negative from a g-factor measurement. An admixture 1p-1h 3p-3h is proposed explain all experimental observables.
Prescission neutron, proton, and \ensuremath{\alpha}-particle multiplicities for the reaction $^{28}\mathrm{Si}$+$^{175}\mathrm{Lu}$ at 159 MeV were measured simultaneously. The multiplicity data analyzed using deformation dependent particle transmission coefficients, binding energies, level densities to extract fission time scales mean of saddle-to-scission emitter. neutron charged could be explained consistently, a better fit being obtained by considering emission neutrons favored toward...
New half-lives for exotic isotopes approaching the neutron drip-line in vicinity of N∼28 Z=12-15 were measured at Facility Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB) with FRIB decay station initiator. The first experimental results are compared to latest quasiparticle random phase approximation and shell-model calculations. Overall, consistent available theoretical descriptions suggest a well-developed region deformation below ^{48}Ca N=28 isotones. erosion Z=14 subshell closure Si is experimentally...
We report here measurements of fusion cross-sections for the ${}^{16}\mathrm{O}{+}^{112,116}\mathrm{Sn}$ and ${}^{32}\mathrm{S}{+}^{112,116,120}\mathrm{Sn}$ systems. The set systems studied with widely varying ground state Q values transfer neutrons is a good case to understand influence single multineutron on process. evaporation residue were measured in small energy steps covering region around Coulomb barrier $(\ensuremath{\approx}{0.8V}_{b}$ ${1.2V}_{b}).$ data have been analyzed...
The low-energy level structure of the exotic Na isotopes $^{27,28,29}\mathrm{Na}$ has been investigated through \ensuremath{\beta}-delayed \ensuremath{\gamma} spectroscopy. Detailed $^{28,29}\mathrm{Na}$ obtained $\ensuremath{\beta}\ensuremath{\gamma}$ and $\ensuremath{\beta}\ensuremath{\gamma}\ensuremath{\gamma}$ coincidence measurements. low-lying levels populated in $^{27}\mathrm{Na}$ by \ensuremath{\beta} decay were found to corroborate well with in-beam data from literature. Half-lives...
The low energy level structure of $N=20$ $^{32}\mathrm{Mg}$ obtained via \ensuremath{\beta}-delayed \ensuremath{\gamma} spectroscopy is reported. found to be completely dominated by intruders. An inversion between the 1p-1h and 3p-3h states observed for negative parity states, similar 0p-0h 2p-2h positive in these $N~20$ nuclei. intruder excited both parity, are reasonably explained Monte Carlo shell model calculations, which suggest a shrinking gap with decreasing $Z$.
The higher-spin structure of $^{38}\mathrm{Cl}$ ($N=21$) was investigated following the $^{26}\mathrm{Mg}(^{14}\mathrm{C}$, $pn$) reaction at 30 and 37 MeV beam energies. outgoing protons were detected in an $E\text{\ensuremath{-}}\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Delta}}E$ Si telescope placed ${0}^{\ensuremath{\circ}}$ close to target with a Ta stopper between telescope. Multiple $\ensuremath{\gamma}$ rays time coincidence using enhanced version FSU $\ensuremath{\gamma}$-detection array. level scheme...
