Les composes PbX (X=S, Se, Te) cristallisent dans le systeme cubique avec groupe d'espace Fm3m. Determination des parametres cristallins et affinements a differentes temperatures pour chacun
The elusive β^{-}p^{+} decay was observed in ^{11}Be by directly measuring the emitted protons and their energy distribution for first time with prototype Active Target Time Projection Chamber an experiment performed at ISAC-TRIUMF. measured branching ratio is orders of magnitude larger than any previous theoretical model predicted. This can be explained presence a narrow resonance ^{11}B above proton separation energy.
Developments in the description of masses atomic nuclei have led to various nuclear mass models that provide predictions for across whole chart nuclides. These play an important role understanding synthesis heavy elements rapid neutron capture ($r$) process. However, it is still a challenging task estimate size uncertainty associated with each model. In this work, method called ensemble Bayesian model averaging (EBMA) introduced quantify one-neutron separation energies (${S}_{1n}$) which are...
The ALPHA-g experiment at CERN aims to precisely measure the terrestrial gravitational acceleration of antihydrogen atoms. A radial Time Projection Chamber (rTPC), that surrounds magnetic trap, is employed determine annihilation location, called vertex. standard approach requires identifying trajectories ionizing particles in rTPC from location their interaction gas (spacepoints), and inferring vertex positions by finding point where those (helices) pass closest one another. In this work, we...

Abstract This work explores the construction of a fast emulator for calculation final pattern nucleosynthesis in rapid neutron capture process (the r -process). An is built using feed-forward artificial neural network (ANN). We train ANN with nuclear data and relative abundance patterns. take as input β -decay half-lives one-neutron separation energy nuclei rare-earth region. The output isotopic pattern. In this work, we focus on patterns region to reduce dimension space. We show...
The conceptual design of the BRIKEN neutron detector at radioactive ion beam factory (RIBF) RIKEN Nishina Center is reported. setup a complex system aimed detecting heavy-ion implants, β particles, γ rays and β-delayed neutrons. whole includes Advanced Implantation Detection Array (AIDA), two HPGe Clover detectors up to 166 3He-filled counters embedded in high-density polyethylene moderator. quite due large number different types 3He-tubes involved additional constraints introduced by...
Lifetimes of $2^+_1$ and $4^+_1$ states, as well some negative-parity non-yrast in $^{188-200}$Hg were measured using $\gamma-\gamma$ electronic fast timing techniques with the LaBr$_3$(Ce) detector array GRIFFIN spectrometer. The excited states populated $\epsilon/\beta^+$-decay $J^\pi =7^+/2^-$ $^{188-200}$Tl produced at TRIUMF-ISAC facility. deduced B(E2) values are compared to different interacting boson model predictions. precision achieved this work over previous ones allows for a...
Abstract The β -delayed neutron-emission probabilities of 28 exotic neutron-rich isotopes Pm, Sm, Eu, and Gd were measured for the first time at RIKEN Nishina Center using Advanced Implantation Detector Array (AIDA) BRIKEN neutron detector array. existing -decay half-life ( T 1/2 ) database was significantly increased toward more isotopes, uncertainties previously values decreased. new data not only constrain theoretical predictions half-lives probabilities, but also allow probing mechanisms...
We present simultaneous optical and near-infrared (NIR) polarimetric results for the black hole binary V404 Cygni spanning duration of its 7-day long optically-brightest phase 2015 June outburst. The R Ks-band light curves showed almost same temporal variation except isolated (~30 min duration) orphan flare observed at MJD 57193.54. did not find any significant polarization degree (PD) position angle (PA) in both Ks bands throughout our observations, including NIR flare. show that PD PA are...
The cross-shell excited states of $^{34}\mathrm{Si}$ have been investigated via $\ensuremath{\beta}$ decays the ${4}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ ground state and ${1}^{+}$ isomeric $^{34}\mathrm{Al}$. Since valence protons neutrons occupy different major shells in as well intruder $^{34}\mathrm{Al}$, levels are populated allowed decays. Spin assignments to such were established through $\ensuremath{\gamma}\text{\ensuremath{-}}\ensuremath{\gamma}$ angular correlation analysis for negative-parity with...
An ambitious program to measure decay properties, primarily β-delayed neutron emission probabilities and half-lives, for a significant number of nuclei near or on the path rapid capture process, has been launched at RIKEN Nishina Center. We give here an overview status project.
Electron-density distribution in metallic iron has been determined based on the reflection data measured up to sin θ/λ = 1.36 Å-1 with Mo Kα radiation using a spherical specimen of 0.186 (6) mm diameter. Fe is cubic, Im3m, 2.8652 (1) Å, V 23.522 (3) Å3, Z 2, μ(Mo Kα) 30.35 mm-1 (T 297 K). Final R was 0.007 for 37 unique reflections, internal agreement factor equivalent reflections being 0.013 527 observed reflections. In difference synthesis positive peak 0.7 e Å-3 found [111] direction at...
$\ensuremath{\beta}$-delayed one-neutron and two-neutron branching ratios $({P}_{1n}$ ${P}_{2n})$ have been measured in the decay of $A=84$ to 87 Ga isotopes at Radioactive-Isotope Beam Factory (RIBF) RIKEN Nishina Center using a high-efficiency array $^{3}\mathrm{He}$ neutron counters (BRIKEN). Two-neutron emission was observed $^{84,85,87}\mathrm{Ga}$ for first time were be ${P}_{2n}=1.6(2)%,1.3(2)%$, $10.2{(28)}_{\mathrm{stat}}{(5)}_{\mathrm{sys}}%$, respectively. One-neutron ratio...
Plasmas with high ion temperature of several kiloelectronvolts and a strong anisotropy greater than 10 were produced by cyclotron range frequency (ICRF) heating in the GAMMA tandem mirror. In such high-performance plasmas anisotropy, high-frequency fluctuations, so-called Alfv?n-ion-cyclotron (AIC) waves, are excited spontaneously. These AIC waves have discrete peaks spectrum. Coupling ICRF was clearly observed density fluctuations measured newly developed reflectometer. Parametric decay...
The charge densities in ReO3 were investigated by the X-ray structural analysis. anisotropic distributions found around a Re atom, which is attributable to pi bond formed 5d (t2g) and O 2p electrons. calculated difference electron density map DV-X alpha cluster method supports qualitatively present observation. measured thermal vibrations of oxygen atoms highly anisotropic. M-mode displacements will be readily enhanced existence high pressures.
