This work aimed to investigate effects of ultrasound treatment on structure and gelation properties mung bean protein gel (MBPG). Structure were evaluated by surface hydrophobicity, free sulfhydryl group, SDS-PAGE, FTIR, intermolecular forces SEM. And the characterized rheological properties, textural water holding capacity (WHC). Ultrasound increased hydrophobicity group solution. SDS-PAGE showed that MBPG contained eleven bands, with highest content 48.8 kDa, did not change profiles MBPG....

Abstract BACKGROUND Zanthoxylum seed, as a low‐cost and easily accessible plant protein resource, has good potential in the food industry. But its hydrolysates from seed are underutilized due to dearth of studies on them. This study aimed investigate structure physicochemical biological activities (ZSP) prepared using Protamex®, Alcalase®, Neutrase®, trypsin, or pepsin. RESULTS Hydrolysis each five enzymes diminished average particle size molecular weight ZSP but increased random coil...

Although many treatment methods have been employed to remove soluble Fe(II) and Mn(II) from water, for some smaller water plants or under emergent circumstances such as sharp increase of iron manganese concentrations in source during summer, traditional physicochemical removal are more flexible effective. In this article, a coupling technique chlorine dioxide (ClO2) preoxidation sand filtration potable proposed. efficiencies different filter materials (natural sand, quartz fiber bundle (FBF)...

The limited physicochemical properties (such as low foaming and emulsifying capacity) of mung bean protein hydrolysate restrict its application in the food industry. Ultrasound treatment could change structures to accordingly affect properties. aim this study was investigate effects ultrasound on structural protamex (MBHP). characteristics MBHP were evaluated using tricine sodium dodecylsulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, laser scattering, fluorescence spectrometry, etc. Solubility,...

Abstract Four fractions separated sequentially from a coal tar pitch by two different methods are examined matrix‐assisted laser desorption/ionization time‐of‐flight mass spectrometry (MALDI TOF‐MS) and 50/24 matrix analysis, to evaluate both separation effectiveness characteristics of large polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in variable fractions. Both Soxhlet extraction anti‐solvent precipitation can produce four that have narrower molecular distribution with specific structural...

Abstract Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) are widespread, persistent environmental contaminants that display a complex spectrum of toxicological properties. Exposure to PCBs has been associated with morphological anomalies in cell cultures. However, most mechanistic studies PCBs' toxic activity have focused on coplanar congeners. It is importance determine whether PCB treatment would influence configuration and these changes depend the structural characteristics PCBs. In this study, we...
