Motion capture (mocap) technology is an efficient method for digitizing art performances, and becoming increasingly popular in the preservation dissemination of dance performances. Although technically captured data can be very high quality, dancing allows stylistic variations improvisations that cannot easily identified. The majority motion analysis algorithms are based on ad-hoc quantitative metrics, thus do not usually provide insights style qualities a performance. In this work, we...

Motion capture technology has enabled the acquisition of high quality human motions for animating digital characters with extremely fidelity. However, despite all advances in motion editing and synthesis, it remains an open problem to modify pre-captured that are highly expressive, such as contemporary dances, stylization emotionalization. In this work, we present a novel approach stylizing by using emotion coordinates defined Russell's Circumplex Model (RCM). We extract analyze large set...

<ns4:p>Background With the increasing volume of data collected for advanced analytical and AI applications, storage remains a significant challenge. Despite advancements in technologies, cost maintaining vast datasets continues to grow. Compression techniques have been widely used address this issue, but existing systems primarily rely on single, typically lossless method, which limits adaptability varying characteristics. Methods This paper introduces COMPASS, multiple compression approach...

Prediction of gaze behavior in gaming environments can be a tremendously useful asset to game designers, enabling them improve gameplay, selectively increase visual fidelity, and optimize the distribution computing resources. The use saliency maps is currently being advocated as method choice for predicting attention, crucially under assumption that no specific task present. This achieved by analyzing images low-level features such motion, contrast, luminance, etc. However, majority computer...

With the emergence of affordable 3D displays, stereoscopy is becoming a commodity. However, often users report discomfort even after brief exposures to stereo content. One main reasons conflict between vergence and accommodation that caused by displays. We investigate dynamic adjustment parameters in scene using gaze data order reduce discomfort. In user study, we measured fusion times abrupt manipulation disparities data. found gaze-controlled can lower for large disparities. addition...

During the initial phases of COVID-19 pandemic, accurate tracking has proven unfeasible. Initial estimation methods pointed toward case numbers that were much higher than officially reported. In CoronaSurveys project, we have been addressing this issue using open online surveys with indirect reporting. We compare our estimates results a serology study for Spain, obtaining high correlations (R squared 0.89). view, these strongly support idea reporting as method to broadly sense progress pandemic.

Stimuli obtained from highly dynamic 3D virtual environments and synchronous eye-tracking data are commonly used by algorithms that strive to correlate gaze scene objects, a process referred as gaze-to-object mapping (GTOM) . We propose address this problem with probabilistic approach using Bayesian inference. The desired result of the inference is predicted probability density function (PDF) specifying for each object in be attended user. To evaluate quality attention PDF, we present...

Reverberation graphs is a novel approach to estimate global soundpressure decay and auralize corresponding reverberation effects in interactive virtual environments. We use 3D model represent the geometry of environment explicitly, we subdivide it into series coupled spaces connected by portals. Off-line geometrical-acoustics techniques are used precompute transport operators, which encode pressure characteristics within each space between coupling interfaces. At run-time, during an...
