This paper reports five cases of intact adult male crossbreed cats presenting with myiasis caused by Cochliomyia hominivorax. Current guidelines for the use of systemic antimicrobials treatment superficial bacterial folliculitis in dogs include recommendation that disease be treated a minimum 3 weeks and at least 1 week beyond clinical resolution. Three dogs who were presented with cutaneous lesions and had histopathologic findings consistent pemphigus foliaceus treated injectable polysulfated glycosaminoglycan as an adjunctive to systemic immune-modulatory therapy. These patients not adequately controlled oral glucocorticoids in conjunction cyclosporine, azathioprine, and/or mycophenolate.
