After Run~2, LHCb has collected the world's largest sample of charmed hadrons. This is further investigated to understand $C\!P$ violation observed in charm decays 2019. The measurement time-integrated asymmetry $D^0\rightarrow K^-K^+$ decays, $A_{C\!P}(K^-K^+)$, and its combination with \mbox{$\Delta A_{C\!P}=A_{C\!P}(K^-K^+)-A_{C\!P}(\pi^-\pi^+)$} are presented this document, reporting first evidence $D^0\rightarrow\pi^-\pi^+$. Due variation strong phase across Dalitz plane, multi-body...

LHCb has collected the world's largest sample of charmed hadrons. This is used to measure time-integrated $C\!P$ asymmetry in Cabibbo-suppressed decay $D^0\to K^-K^+$, $A_{C\!P}(K^-K^+)$. The direct asymmetries K^-K^+$ and \pi^-\pi^+$ decays, $a_{K^-K^+}^{d}$ $a_{\pi^-\pi^+}^{d}$, are derived by combining $A_{C\!P}(K^-K^+)$ with difference, $\Delta A_{C\!P}=A_{C\!P}(K^-K^+)-A_{C\!P}(\pi^-\pi^+)$, accounting for time-dependent effects. result consists first evidence violation a specific $D^0$ decay.

Measurements of charge-parity (CP) violation and mixing in charm provide a precise test the Standard Model can potentially probe interactions beyond Model. The LHCb experiment has provided most measurements to date this scope. We present recent results obtained during current year, including first observation non-zero mass difference between neutral eigenstates – new milestone physics.

Semileptonic $b$-hadron decays proceed via charged-current interactions and provide powerful probes for testing the Standard Model of particle physics searching New Physics effects. The large branching ratios, coupled with excellent identification capability accurate reconstruction decay vertices, enable LHCb experiment to perform high-precision measurements many key quantities, such as CKM matrix elements, $c$- properties, Lepton Universality. In this contribution, recent results, essential...

Measurements of charge-parity (CP) violation and mixing in charm provide a sensitive test the Standard Model can potentially probe physics beyond Model. The LHCb experiment has provided most precise measurements this scope to date. This year brought two milestones physics: first observation CP decays evidence non-zero mass difference between neutral eigenstates. These results are both included contribution together with searches for direct quasi two-body decays. Despite recent discoveries,...

Abstract The Vertex Locator (VELO) is a silicon tracking detector in the spectrometer of Large Hadron Collider beauty (LHCb) experiment. LHCb explores and investigates CP violation phenomena b- c- hadron decays one experiments operating on (LHC) at CERN. After run 1 2 LHC data taking (2011–2018), detectors are being modernized within upgrade I program. aims to adjust readout full 40 MHz frequency, which requires radical changes technologies currently used LHCb. hardware trigger removed, some...
