The LHCb detector will be upgraded to make more efficient use of the available luminosity at LHC in Run III and extend its potential for discovery. Ring Imaging Cherenkov detectors are key components particle identification. In this paper we describe setup results tests a charged beam, carried out assess prototypes opto-electronic chain from Multi-Anode PMT photosensor readout data acquisition system.
Abstract This work describes the architecture of a versatile system that is dedicated to testing various integrated circuits in radiation (e.g., ASICs, FPGAs). The powers device under test remotely. It monitors and reads out real time parameters, like: power consumption, voltage current (with resolution 100 µV µA, respectively), specific operational parameters its package temperature. A key feature this multi-channel remote supply capabilities, used test. embeds built-in features detect...
We report on a measurement of the flavor-specific $B^0_s$ lifetime and $D^-_s$ using proton-proton collisions at center-of-mass energies 7 8 TeV, collected by LHCb experiment corresponding to 3.0 $fb^{−1}$ integrated luminosity. Approximately 407 000 $B^0_s \to D^{(*)-}_s \mu^+\nu_{\mu}$ decays are partially reconstructed in $K^+ K^- \pi^- \mu^+$ final state. The natural widths determined using, as reference, kinematically similar same resulting differences between $B^0$ mesons $D^-$...
Data from a dedicated cosmic ray run of the ALEPH detector were used in study muon trident production, i.e., pairs produced by muons. Here overburden and calorimeters are target materials while time projection chamber provides momentum measurements. A theoretical estimate cross section is obtained developing Monte Carlo simulation for propagation detector. Two candidates found to match expected pattern. The observed production rate implies that nuclear form factor cannot be neglected tridents.
In our work, we develop a numerical model for studding the variation of phenomenological and optical parameters in an Er+3 system 6 excited levels that is subject to lasing condition. The using four order Runge- Kutta method solve eight time-dependent variables. simulations, based on change pumping wavelength, prove highest efficiency reached 970 nm pump concordant with existing literature results. Different processes, including: three ion-ion up-conversion two processes inherent...
In our work, we develop a numerical model for fiber ZBLAN host Er3+ laser system at 3 μm. The performed simulation concerning the output power thresholds and efficiencies, different pumping conditions, as well time dependencies in stable cw region population densities, suitable range of parameters variation provide general method to study EDFA devices.

This paper presents the irradiation and measurement analysis for a commercial antifuse Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) from Microsemi's Axcelerator family, part number AX250. Following proton X-ray beam irradiation, at very high dose rate above 1krad/s, total ionizing (TID) first effects were visible around 260 krad (SiO 2), this threshold value increases lower radiation rates. We expect most space accelerator applications that will be least several Mrads, or even FPGA might never reach...
This work includes measurements of the single event effects and cumulative induced in antifuse FPGA by radiation. Several FPGAs were irradiated with 24 MeV protons X-rays. During irradiations, dose rate values between 0.1 1 krad/s maximum value total ionization was 8 Mrad. For these rates, radiation-induced leakage currents observed power consumption. current measured above a non-fixed threshold which depends on rate. At very high krad/s, is about 260 krad. We have also fast room-temperature...
