Chitosan-carbon nanotube composite beads combines the advantages of chitosan in forming a stable biocompatible framework and carbon that provide nanometer effects (high strength high specific surface area etc.). In this study, chitosan/amino multiwalled nanotubes (CS/AMWCNT) was prepared by phase-inversion method, which CS AMWCNT crosslinked ethylene glycol diglycidyl ether (EGDE). The CS/AMWCNT nanocomposite produced has been characterized BET, SEM, TGA, Raman spectroscopy exhibited...

Abstract In this paper, thiol wheat straw (TWS) was prepared by esterifying mercaptoacetic acid onto cellulose in straw. The potential feasibility of TWS as sorbent for removing mercury ion from aqueous solution investigated a batch system. Hg2+ removal found to be dependent on initial pH, dose, concentration, contact time, and temperature. maximum value appeared the range pH 4 7. isothermal data sorption conformed well Langmuir model capacity (Qm) 72.46 mg/g. equilibrium reached within 100...

Sodium stearate modified montmorillonite(SSTA-MMT) is prepared by using the anion surfactant sodium stearate, and its structure characterized X-ray FI-IR diffraction. The results show that can be intercalated into interlayers of montmorillonite layer spacing expanded from 12.74 to 48.05 Å with loading concentration increasing 5 % 100 CEC Na-MMT. adsorption methylene blue onto SSTA-MMT experiments kinetic best described pseudo-second-order model isotherm in good agreement Langmuir equation.

Abstract Increasing the metal loading and downsizing particle size are two effective ways to boost electrochemical performance of catalysts. However, it is difficult simultaneously increase reduce since isolated individual atoms easy aggregate into nanoparticles when increasing loading. To tackle this contradiction, we report a bottom‐up ligand‐mediated strategy facilely prepare ultrafine CoO x nanoclusters anchored on Co‐N‐containing carbon matrix (CoO @Co‐NC). The co‐exist N O prevent Co...

Nessler's reagent spectrophotometry is the traditional method for ammonia nitrogen (NH 3 -N) determination, which adopted in national standard of People's Republic China (HJ 535-2009). In order to improve accuracy such method, possible influences, Reagent preparation, pH value solution, metal ions, organic solvents and natural matters, on NH -N determination were discussed. The results suggested that B, employing KI, HgI 2 NaOH, preferred preparation. And Spectrophotometry may be executed...
