Logistics integration and network orientation in the port maritime industry have redefined functional role of ports value chains generated new patterns freight distribution approaches to hierarchy. Existing models on spatial evolution systems only partially fit into paradigm. This paper aims add existing literature by introducing a regionalization phase system development. It is demonstrated that associated hinterland concepts demand governance focus goes beyond traditional perimeter.

Economic shocks test the resilience and adaptability of shipping industry container ports. Each crisis triggers different ramifications in market. This paper investigates temporal spatial sequences supply demand COVID-19 on ports by comparing these events to 2008–2009 financial crisis. Using operational data from primary secondary sources, we analyze short-term impacts their differences, reasons for variations, evolution adaptive capacity ports, terminal operators, carriers. The analysis...

The paper discusses how logistics service providers are using terminals in their supply chains. It argues that an increasing 'terminalization' of chains is unfolding, whereby seaport and inland taking up a more active role by increasingly confronting market players with operational considerations such as imposing berthing windows, dwell time charges, truck slots, all this to increase throughput, optimize terminal capacity make the best use available land. With development terminals, new...

This fungus has been implicated causative agent widespread mortalities among wild geographically disparate parts world. To investigate distribution, historical occurrence, and infectiousness this pathogen, we...
