In this work we report the results of investigation magnetocaloric effect in Gd 100- x Y ( = 0, 5, 10, 15) cold rolled ribbons. It is shown that exists within a wide temperature interval 258-295 K and it comparable with observed bulk samples pure gadolinium. In this work we report the results of experimental investigation magnetocaloric effect in Gd 90 Ga 10 cold rolled ribbons. A moderate entropy change ΔS = 3.5 J/(kg·K) and Δ T 3.4K was observed for as-cast materials an external magnetic field 2T which is less by 35% comparison with pure gadolinium metal.
