Desmoid tumor (DT), also known as desmoid fibromatosis, is a rare, locally proliferative characterized by an overgrowth of myofibroblastic cells. Due to the varied clinical presentation DT, there are multitude treatment options. This study provides our institutional experience in characterizing and treating DT well patient outcomes. A retrospective review was performed for 49 patients diagnosed with DT. Patient demographics, characteristics, recurrence were reported. We reported...

Chondrosarcoma accounts for 20% of all bony sarcomas and may present with extraosseous extension (EOE). The presence an component, along positive surgical margins, has been separately associated increased risk local recurrence decreased survival. This study compared the outcomes between patients EOE, EOE a control chondrosarcoma cohort neither feature.

Myxoid/round cell liposarcomas (MRCLPS) are a rare soft tissue sarcoma. We report the largest sarcoma in our institutional history. discuss patient's surgical management and treatment of tumor challenges given its dimensions. Several complications arose following primary resection that were managed by multidisciplinary team. Although MRCLPS can vary size, large must be treated cautiously potential for complications. Additionally, is essential diagnosing treating these complex cases.

Introduction: Spina bifida is a rare neurological condition that, if uncorrected, may cause chronic valgus knee stress difficulty with independent ambulation and significant pain. Current literature lacks comprehensive guidance on surgically correcting progressive hip deformities in spina patients, which include osteotomy primary. When these options are contraindicated, alternative approaches such as arthrodesis be indicated, although they remain understudied this population Case Report: A...

e23560 Background: Atypical lipomatous tumor (ALT) is a locally aggressive, benign adipocytic tissue mass with risk of transformation into dedifferentiated liposarcoma (DDLS), mixed-grade, non-lipogenic increased for metastasis and mortality. Studies have evaluated the dedifferentiation rate DDLS but seldom report methodology obtaining their diagnosis, which crucial due to heterogeneous architecture relatively low core needle biopsy (CNB) accuracy. We included longitudinal cohort ALT/DDLS...

This study compared opiate usage ambulatory functional status with versus pathologic femur. Methods: was a retrospective review of using postoperatively who underwent internal fixation or fracture between 2016 2022. ABSTRACT Introduction Atypical lipomatous tumor (ALT) in the extremities is a locally aggressive adipocytic with potential risk of transformation into dedifferentiated liposarcoma (DDLS). Studies seldom differentiate whether DDLS was diagnosed on initial biopsy, final resected specimen, or subsequent recurrence. Our study seeks to characterize how and when patients received their ALT diagnoses better understand relationship between two neoplasms. Methods We performed retrospective review...

He underwent a lateral release medial plication Roux-Goldthwait procedure, followed by casting bracing treatment. The patient fully recovered return to sports improved active range motion.Bilateral without other congenital anomalies is an exceedingly rare condition can be accompanied mechanism. Treatment should address functional limitations, including dislocation,...
