Necdin is a multifunctional signaling protein that stabilizes terminal differentiation of postmitotic neurons. The human necdin gene in chromosome 15q11-q12 maternally imprinted, paternally transcribed, and not expressed Prader-Willi syndrome, genomic imprinting-associated neurodevelopmental disorder. Although necdin-deficient mice display several abnormal phenotypes reminiscent this little known about molecular mechanisms lead to the defects. Here, we demonstrate required for physiological...
Adaptive feed-rate controlled (AFC) drilling has been proposed as a high-quality and highly efficient method for thermoplastic resins. The feed rate of the drill tool is by load in thrust direction during AFC drilling. In early stages drilling, extremely low, followed sudden increase rate. Experimental investigations revealed that temperature near point had dominant effect on position at which transitioned from low to high. transition was approximately 150 °C PA6. Therefore, accelerated...
Recently discovered mammalian clock genes are believed to compose the core oscillator, which generates circadian rhythm. BMAL1/CLOCK heterodimer is essential positive element that drives clock-related transcription and self-sustaining oscillation by a negative feedback mechanism. We examined BMAL1 protein expression in rat suprachiasmatic nuclei (SCN) immunoblot analysis. Anti-BMAL1 antiserum raised against rBMAL1 recognized 70 kDa mBMAL1b detected similar immunoreactivity (IR) as major band...
Theoretical analysis is made for spectra of the 3 d core photoemission (3 -XPS) and 2 p photoabsorption ( L -XAS) in insulating La compounds O , LaF LaCl by using single-site Anderson model. In order to give a consistent interpretation -XPS -XAS, it essentially important take into account, final state Coulomb interaction U f (between 4 5 electrons) - c electron hole) addition hole). We constructed a model to predict the maximum tsunami height by Gaussian process (GP) that uses pressure gauge data from Dense Oceanfloor Network System for Earthquakes and Tsunamis (DONET) in Nankai trough. found greatly improved generalization error of our prediction model. The is about one third previous method, which tends make larger predictions, especially large heights (>10 m). These results indicate GP enables us get more accurate using data.
This paper proposes a novel diamond tip burnishing process to improve the integrity of various free-curved surfaces using spherical 5-Degree-Of-Freedom (5-DOF), hybrid parallelmechanism. The developed parallel mechanism, which has high rigidity and large workspace, is composed 3-DOF mechanism an XY stage, equipped with tool on its output link. Using threedimensional force control system, can adjust thrust in process. surface roughness profile stainless steel (AISI 316) workpiece, burnished...
Temperature dependence of the reverse transformation induced by shot-peening has been investigated for austenitic stainless steel (SUS 304) containing large amount strain-induced martensite (α'). When SUS 304 specimen is shot-peened under higher temperature than 100oC, volume fraction austenite (γ) on peened surface increased. This indicates that occurred shot-peening. Furthermore, γ generated increased as processing increases. Hence, it found behavior depends temperature.
The effect of minimum quantity lubrication (MQL) method in end milling stainless steel and titanium alloy that are typical difficult-to-cut materials with coated carbide tool is investigated. mainly evaluated by flank temperature, cutting force wear behavior. temperature measured using a two-color pyrometer an optical fiber having small measurement area high response speed under non-contact condition tool. In MQL SUS304 Ti-6Al-4V at v=25m/min, the decreases approximately 50°C 100°C than case...
We discuss a strategy of sparse approximation that is based on the use an overcomplete basis, and evaluate its performance when random matrix used as this basis. A small combination basis vectors chosen from given according to compression rate, such they compactly represent target data with distortion possible. As selection method, we study - -based methods, which employ exhaustive search -norm regularization techniques, respectively. The assessed in terms trade-off relation between rate....
This paper proposes a method for measuring the tool edge temperature during tapping. The infrared ray from of tapping was measured using two-color pyrometer with an optical fiber. In addition, vibration caused by contact between first-act and workpiece sensed acceleration pickup. outputs edges chips could be distinguished analyzing cutting behavior in process. successfully AISI 1045-based free-machining steel stainless steels. cross-sectional area appears to control temperature. maximum...
The fundamental characteristics of a developed burnishing process targeting an Ni-based alloy were investigated. A spherical tool, which was coated using diamond-like-carbon material, rotated at high speed and inclined from the normal direction target surface to obtain sliding effect during process. alloy, conducted solution treatment finishing with file, used as workpiece. burnished evaluated by its roughness, profile, subsurface microstructure, mechanical properties such hardness solid...
This study investigates the cutting characteristics of direct milling cemented tungsten carbides performed using a diamond-coated carbide end mill. The mills have edges that are both treated and untreated, sharp edge can be developed at ridgeline diamond coating on flank face via treatment edge. Two types were used as workpiece materials, i.e., TAS VM-40 VC-70. influence length was also studied. In case VM-40, force tool significantly lower than untreated tool. forces tools observed to...
This study investigates the influence of cutting fluid on temperature in end milling a titanium alloy. As temperature, tool edge was measured using two-color pyrometer with an optical fiber. A helical cutter indexable insert 50-mm diameter used. The speed set at 100 m/min. feed rate 0.1 mm/tooth. radial and axial depth cut were 12 5 mm, respectively. Under this condition, method for measuring transitional one established. One took ~15.22 ms under condition. In case up cut, dry conditions...
