Introduction Observer variability can influence the assessment of CT coronary angiography (CTCA) and subsequent diagnosis angina pectoris due to heart disease. Methods We assessed 210 CTCAs from Scottish COmputed Tomography HEART (SCOT-HEART) trial for intraobserver interobserver variability. Calcium score, image quality were evaluated. Coronary artery disease was defined as none (<10%), mild (10–49%), moderate (50–70%) severe (>70%) luminal stenosis classified no non-obstructive...
Computed tomography (CT) can perform comprehensive cardiac imaging. We compared CT coronary angiography (CTCA) and myocardial perfusion (CTP) with 15O-water positron emission (PET) invasive (ICA) fractional flow reserve (FFR). 51 patients (63 (61–65) years, 80 % male) known/suspected artery disease (CAD) underwent 320-multidetector CTCA followed by "snapshot" adenosine stress CTP. Of these 22 PET 47 ICA/FFR. Obstructive CAD was defined as stenosis >50 CTP hypoperfusion, ICA >70 or FFR <0.80....
A tear of the transverse carpal ligament attachment at trapezial ridge without associated fracture has not been previously described. We present a detailed description 16-year-old Caucasian male patient treated our institution, and second supporting case 15-year-old with similar mechanism injury diagnostic findings. It is important to be aware this tear, as it may affect clinical management, occult on computed tomography, only detectable magnetic resonance imaging, stressing worth imaging in...
