An integrated system for photo-accumulation (photoreduction) and sensing, based on a Zr/ZrO2 electrode, has been developed the detection of trace heavy metals. The nanostructuring electrode was achieved by anodizing, which produced nanotubular structure. Solutions containing Cd(II), Pb(II), Cu(II) Hg(II) were used analysis. Linear calibration plots obtained in concentration ranges from 8 × 10−8 to 10−5 M 5 2 10−6 4 Hg(II).
The influence of waste glass and red mud addition as alternative source aluminosilicate precursors on the microstructural, mechanical, leaching properties bottom ash-based geopolymer was studied in this work through mineralogical, morphological, spectroscopic analysis, well by conducting compressive strength tests. composites were synthesized adding a constant amount (10% weight) increasing amounts (up to 30% weight). results derived from FTIR, 29Si 27Al MAS NMR, SEM-EDX revealed that up 10%...
Abstract Inspired by natural photosynthesis, a new green catalyst with better photocatalytic properties was obtained. Nanostructured TiO 2 , cheap cost Chlorophyll‐a as an electron promotor and mussel‐inspired polydopamine (PD) bio adhesive were synergistically combined in the double S‐scheme hybrid photocatalysts The role of PD bridging molecule between pigments Chl clearly demonstrated improved charge transfer recombination rate. Methylorange probe used to test stability efficiency...
The paper is focused on TiO2 nanotubes elaboration, characterization and potential applications, starting from the idea that monitoring anodizing conditions a way to obtain with various dimensions applications related change of hydrophilic – hydrophobic balance, biocompatibility, nano-porosity, stability, etc. Such properties are important for use Ti as biomaterial, self–cleaning, solar energy conversion, controllable wettability, photocatalysis, electrochemical behaviour was by Tafel plots...
Abstract This work aims to improve the corrosion rate of Ti6Al7Nb alloy and increase its biocompatibility at same time, obtaining polymer composite films based on polypyrrole/polyethylene glycol (PPy/PEG). The elaboration method was electrodeposition. FT‐IR analysis performed in order emphasize formation PPy‐PEG film by incorporating PEG into structure. paper is focussed (400 molecular weight) effect bioliquids (as tested electrochemical bioliquid chosen Hank's balanced salt solution)...
Abstract The objective of this work was to develop a novel photocatalytic membrane for the degradation azithromycin formulation from aqueous solutions which, in addition high activity, should have good mechanical and physico-chemical stability over time. Thus, Nb-TiO 2 Nb-Fe-TiO photocatalysts were prepared by solution combustion synthesis method, then they manually embedded fiberglass – rubberized silicone support. mineralogical, morphological, structural characterization obtained materials...
Electric Double Layer Capacitors (EDLCs) are relatively new electronic components developed in the late 1980s; their operation is based on a Helmholtz double layer of charge formed an activated carbon surface (of high equivalent surface) and electrolyte. The advantages this constructive solution very small capacitive distance large effective area, leading to remarkably capacitances. EDLCs tend be low voltage, impedance devices, sustaining currents, with capacitance dependent charge-up...
Abstract A new Ti‐6Al‐2Nb‐1Ta alloy was obtained for to satisfy the mechanical and anticorrosion requirements in neutral corrosive environment. The corrosion behaviour of this 0.1 M Na 2 SO 4 , 3% NaCl solutions synthetic sea water studied paper, using potentiodynamic linear polarisation method, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) monitoring open circuit potentials. structure represents an α + β uniform with un‐oriented grains. From curves it resulted that is self‐passivated all...
The aim of this study involved the synthesis and characterization polyurethane (PUR) foams obtained from poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) depolymerization products two types filling agents, namely fly ash glass waste. depolymerized PET-based were by zinc acetate-catalyzed glycolysis process in diethylene glycol (DEG) as a co-reactant. resulting contacted with methylene diphenyl diisocyanate, castor oil, reinforcing agents. PUR specimens characterized Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy...
In the present work a study on TiO2 ordered structures was pursued using an electrolyte with low water content (glycerol containing 4% H2O). The results led to determination of two distinct states matrix structure: one nanotubes for lower values applied voltage and another nanopores higher voltage. These are interpreted three key investigation methods: potentiostatic method growth, atomic force microscopy scanning electron surface characterization.
TiO 2 nanowires are fabricated by electrospinning on Ti50Zr alloy, changing the elaboration conditions. The surface covered with is characterized performing scanning electronic microscopy and contact angle measurements. best from point of view organization chosen based experimental electrochemical stability tested in Fusayama saliva. response HGF‐1 gingival fibroblasts cells established discussed. Cellular evaluated cell viability, lactate dehydrogenase test, nitric oxide level interleukines...
Composite films based on polypyrrole (PPy) and polyethylene glycol (PEG) were synthesized titanium electrode, using various percentages of PEG, as the insulating material in order to enhance surface properties polymer composite films. The Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) was performed demonstrate formation a PPy-PEG film. corrosion behaviour coatings has been studied by Tafel tests cyclic voltammetry. films/electrolyte interface analyzed electrochemical impedance (EIS)...
A study was undertaken on the influence of ultrasonication over second-generation TiO2 nanotubes structured matrix. 60 V applied voltage for 2 hours anodizing used to create ordered structures, with a high power source in low water glycerol electrolyte. The results were investigated using Environmental Scanning Electron. performed after an ultrasonic cleaner. In correlation different times, variance nanotubes/nanopores observed. atomic composition at surface indicates proportionality between...
