This paper presents a new approach in automation for crack detection on pavement surface images. The method is based the continuous wavelet transform. In first step, separable 2D transform several scales performed. Complex coefficient maps are built. angle and modulus information used to keep significant coefficients. Then, coefficients maximal values searched their propagation through analyzed. Finally, post-processing gives binary image which indicates presence or not of cracks image.

AbstractEfficient and secure dataset management is a critical component of collaborative research projects, where diverse data types, sharing requirements, compliance regulations converge. This work presents tool entitled DAM2 (Data Model Monitoring) developed within the Chips Joint Undertaking (Chips JU) funded European BRIGHTER project [1], to address these challenges. It provides robust adaptable solution for handling private public ground based measurements datasets throughout lifecycle....

Urban areas need to rethink their policies strengthen capacities prepare for and respond hazards become more resilient, intelligent inclusive. In this context, one of the objectives is ensure resilience services systems against multi-hazard scenarios, where effect local combines with global challenges such as climate change pandemics. Moreover, concept inclusiveness becoming crucial, highlighted during COVID, which showed that most vulnerable population living in sparsely densely populated...

In the context of fine structure extraction, lots methods have been introduced, and, particularly in pavement crack detection. We can distinguish approaches based on a threshold, employing mathematical morphology tools or neuron networks more recently, techniques with transformations, like wavelet decomposition. The goal this paper is to introduce 2D matched filter order define an adapted mother then, to use result multi-scale detection into Markov Random Field (MRF) process segment...

This study aims to assess the impact of targeted scene and environmental variables on in situ long-term thermal monitoring by infrared thermography. It also addresses projection errors arising from camera perspectives digitization. Over a span 3 years, extensive measurements were conducted at two instrumented test sites, yielding valuable dataset for analysis. The paper begins introducing discussing model used convert collected data into surface temperature estimations its associated...

Damage detection and localization in civil or mechanical structures is a subject of active development research. A few vibration-based methods have been developed so far, requiring, for example, modal parameter estimates the reference damaged states investigated structure, addition finite element model. For operation, temperature has shown to be major nuisance efficiency such because parameters are varying not only with damage but also due variations. detection, rejection approaches...
