Electromagnetic invisibility cloak requires material with anisotropic distribution of the constitutive parameters as first proposed by Pendry et al. [Science 312, 1780 (2006)]. In this paper, we an electromagnetic structure that does not require metamaterials subwavelength structured inclusions to realize anisotropy or inhomogeneity parameters. We constructed a concentric layered alternating homogeneous isotropic materials can be treated effective medium required radius-dependent anisotropy....
Accurate prediction of soil moisture content in tea plantations plays a crucial role optimizing irrigation practices and improving crop productivity. Traditional methods for SMC are difficult to implement due high costs labor requirements. While machine learning models have been applied, their performance is often limited by the lack sufficient data. To address challenges inaccurate inefficient enhance predictive performance, an improved support-vector-machine- (SVM) based model was...
We demonstrate the compact efficient multi-GHz Kerr-lens mode locking in a diode-pumped Nd:YVO(4) laser with simple linear cavity without need of any additional components. Experimental results reveal that system can be characterized stable single-pulse and multiple-pulse mode-locked operations. With pump power 2.5 W, produces average output powers greater than 0.8 W pulse width less 10 ps range 2-6 GHz.
We report on a high-power, diode-pumped, self-mode-locked laser at 1342 nm with the Kerr effect arising from large third-order nonlinearity of Nd:YVO(4) crystal. At pump power 10.2 W, average output 1.2 W was generated repetition rate in range 2-6 GHz. The mode-locked pulse width can be smoothly varied 11.5 to 37 ps by controlling amount spatial hole burning.
Identifying ecosystem service trade-offs/synergies and their influencing factors are prerequisites for formulating scientific management strategies. We selected Dongting Lake Area as the study area, quantified four key ESs dynamics, including food production (FP), soil conservation (SC), habitat quality (HQ) ecological leisure (EL), identified relationships between paired services using Spearman correlation coefficients, analyzed how various drivers impact trade-offs synergies by leveraging...
We have fabricated ultraviolet microdisk lasers on silicon substrates. A thin layer of zinc oxide is grown top the silica microdisks and serves as gain medium. Under optical pumping, lasing occurs in whispering gallery modes hybrid at room temperature. Above threshold, a drastic increase emission intensity accompanied by decrease spectral width modes.
We originally present a novel tactic to accomplish compact efficient dual-wavelength synchronously mode-locked laser by physically combining the Nd:YVO4 crystal Nd:GdVO4 as composite gain medium. With developed method, total output power at 1.06 μm could be effectually produced reach 1.3 W under optimally balanced two-color intensities. The corresponding pulse width and repetition rate are measured 47 ps 2.86 GHz, respectively. Through optical beating between two carrier frequencies of...
Soil moisture content (SMC) is an important parameter that affects tea growth. Reasonable soil improves quality and ensures yield. Therefore, it necessary to regularly monitor the water content. However, traditional prediction algorithm has problems of low accuracy efficiency. This paper constructs evaluates performance a hybrid arithmetic optimization (AOA) support vector machine (SVM) model (AOA-SVM) for predicting SMC in plantations. Grey relation analysis (GRA) Pearson correlation are...
We experimentally explore the fluorescent spectrum of Nd:YAP crystal to manifest feasibility tunable single- and multi-wavelength operations in (4)F3/2 → (4)I11/2 transition. An intracavity etalon is subsequently exploited effectively select spectral lines at 1073, 1080, 1084 nm with tunabilities 0.56, 1.13, 0.1 nm, respectively. also obtain oscillations among various intermanifold output powers on order several watts for each group. Employing Cr(4+):YAG realize passively Q-switched...
In this paper, a novel adaptive PID with sliding mode control for the rotary inverted pendulum is proposed. The goal to achieve system robustness against parameter variations and external disturbances. study, three parameters of controller, proportional gain, integral derivative gain can be systematically obtained according law. Further reduction high frequency chattering in controller achieved by using boundary layer technique. proposed method applied system. By Lyapunov theorem, stability...
With the wide adoption of big spatial data and emergence CyberGIS, nontrivial computational intensity introduced by massive amount poses great challenges to performance vector map visualization. The parallel computing technologies provide promising solutions such problems. Evenly decomposing visualization task into multiple subtasks is one key issues in data. This study focuses on decomposition polyline polygon for Two factors impacting were identified: number features vertices each feature....
We report on a diode-pumped, Q-switched intracavity-Raman-shifted Nd-doped yttrium-aluminum-perovskite (Nd:YAP) laser using potassium titanyl phosphate (KTP) or arsenate (KTA) nonlinear crystals to produce eye-safe radiation. In both cases, we obtained simultaneous emission at two wavelengths corresponding distinct Raman gain peaks and different Stokes orders for the crystal used. From Nd:YAP/KTP source, 3 ns pulses of combined 21 kW peak power 1478 1503 nm. Nd:YAP/KTA up 220 mW total...
We constructed a tunable Fabry–Perot interferometer (FPI) by controlling the effective refractive index of pitch-variable subwavelength gratings (PV-SWGs) that were incorporated into an FP cavity. The period PV-SWG can be varied to change and shift optical resonant frequency FPI. Compared with conventional methods tune resonance adding fillers or deforming cavity, proposed FPI obtained higher transmission quality factor (Q-factor) for transmittance peak, its shifted simply stretching PV-SWG....
Hyperproliferative keratinocytes and subcutaneous inflammation contribute to the characteristic symptoms of psoriasis, including erythema, scales, or scaly plaques on skin. These significantly affect patients’ quality life cause severe physical psychological distress. However, current treatment strategies have limited therapeutic effect may lead adverse side effects. The Academic Grit Scale (AGS) is a novel measure of academic-specific grit. However, its factor structure and measurement invariance have yet to be thoroughly supported. present study tested the AGS with large sample early adolescents (aged 9-14 years) from China (N = 1,894). bifactor model showed that was predominately accounted for by general rather than domain-specific factors; parallel AGS's one-factor good fit indices; thus, should described as univocal solution reported total score....

Artificial magnetic conductor as a ground plane realized by split ring resonators is proposed to improve the strength of radiating fields along from horizontally oriented dipole antenna placed close it. Simulation results show that although gain can be improved, but its performance valid over an extremely narrow bandwidth. However, much higher than when it operating in free space.
