Biomechanical changes in articular cartilage are associated with the onset of osteoarthritis. We developed an optical coherence tomography-based strain rate tomography method: stress relaxation straingraphy (SR-OCSA). The purpose this study was to establish approach for measuring mechanical properties using SR-OCSA, and investigate distribution viscoelastic early Anterior cruciate ligament transection surgery performed on left knees 8–9-month-old New Zealand white rabbits. SR-OCSA used...
A self-induced free-surface oscillation termed ‘self-induced sloshing’ was observed in a rectangular tank with submerged and horizontally injected water jet. Self-induced sloshing is excited by the flow itself without any external force. Its behaviour examined experiment. The dominant frequency found to be close first or second eigenvalue of fluid tank. conditions excitation were obtained for four geometries. They called ‘sloshing condition’, defined terms inlet velocity level. Sloshing...
This paper presents a novel actuator for flow control, namely Plasma Synthetic Jet Actuator. is glow-discharge actuator, which composed of the electrodes with AC signal. In this present study, it was applied to separation control airfoil. To observe behavior in experiment, visualization used And NACA0012 blade, embedded, set wind tunnel. The wake velocity behind blade measured or without operating actuator. Consequently, expected effect proposed could be observed. These results show that can...
This paper presents much information about YAG (532) laser dyes dissolved into oil which can be utilized to measure film thickness and temperature. A spectroscopy analysis was conducted obtain fluorescence absorptivity spectra using spectrofluorometer spectrophotometer, respectively. Spectroscopic dependency of each single-dye on temperature evaluated discover the best indicator Some promising combinations two were selected applied Dual Emission LIF (DELIF) measurement basis this...
Recently, clinical treatments applying drug delivery system (DDS), e. g. photo-dynamic therapy, have been being developed. However, it is quite difficult to in vivo dianose spatiotemporal distribution of infiltration, so the validation study should be too insufficient progress DDS development. In this study, we propose a quantitatively visualizing assay DDS, namely 2-Color Optical Coherence Dosigraphy (2 C-OCD), which based on optical coherence tomography using two waveband light sources...

It is well-known that woven fabric composite materials have high performance. is, however, very difficult to access their mechanical behaviours due complexity of microstructual morphological geometry. Authors proposed Optical Coherence Straingraphy (OCS), which could visualize micro information tomographically and nondestructively from speckle deformation between synthetic images obtained by Tomography. This basically constructed recursive cross-correlation technique weighted moving least...
Acute coronary syndromes are caused by the rupture of unstable plaques on arteries. The stability plaque, which depends biomechanical properties fibrous cap, should be diagnosed crucially. Recently, Optical Coherence Straingraphy (OCS), e.g. an estimator micro bio-strain distribution, has been being improved basis Tomography. This is composed recursive cross-correlation technique, can provide displacement vector distribution with high resolution. However, characteristics have never estimated...
Tissue vulnerability diagnosis of atherosclerotic plaques has been being required, because the rupture unstable plaque on coronary artery should cause acute syndromes. 3-Dimensional Optical Coherence Straingraphy (3D-OCSA) is proposed, which can visualize tissue mechanical information, e.g. strain distribution, from speckle deformation between synthetic 3-dementional images obtained by Tomography. This basically constructed Recursive 1-41-(1' Cross-correlation as well Image Deformation...
This paper presents a novel pH measurement technique for microfluidic devices; “2-Color Laser-induced Fluorescence”. In this technique, an undesirable influence of excitation light distribution can be eliminated by dividing one fluorescence image with the other taken at same time. simplify procedure in terms omitting intensity normalization lot locations, and measure scalar more accurately than 1-color LIF. study, proposed method was applied to neutralization chemical reaction T-type...
In this paper, presented is an experimental study of thermal flow-induced vibration in a 3-turn looped heat pipe. Pressure and temperature variation inside the tubes was measured to investigate oscillation mechanism. It heated cooled at bottom top control by circulator, respectively. As result experiment, certain conditions, circulating direction, clockwise counterclockwise mode, hind change irregularly, which identified inner section Dominant frequency dependent on according wavelet...
The endoscopic optical coherence tomography (OCT) has been developed for early detection of digestive system cancer. However, it is difficult to detect cancerous tissue due complicated speckle patterns contributed by properties scattering and absorption in the morphological images OCT. In our previous papers, 2-color dosigraphy (2C-OCD) was proposed, which quantified OCT signal as coefficients could provide drug distribution at micro-scale spatial resolution. this study, an vivo...
Recently, optical coherence tomography (OCT) has been being applied to cardiovascular medical diagnosis as a tomographic visualizing technique of unstable atherosclerotic plaque with high resolution 1 10 micrometer. Nevertheless, the vulnerability associated macrophage invasion into can never be in vivo detected by any diagnostic approach. Previously, we proposed 2-Color Optical Coherence Dosigraphy (2C-OCD), which provide microscale images drug infiltration. In this study, diagnosing is...
The relationships between the skin components and these mechanical roles are still unclear. To clarify relationships, we investigated spatial mapping of behavior cultured equivalents (SEs) using optical coherence tomography (OCT)-based straingraphy. We built a strain relaxation test system combined with OCT developed an algorithm that could visualize time-dependent distribution, named dynamic-optical straingraphy (D-OCSA). Using this system, analyzed how changes in SEs depended on culture...

This paper presents a novel temperature measurement method for microfluidic devices; “2-Color Laser-induced Fluorescence (2-Color LIF)”. In general, conventional (1-Color LIF) strongly depends on the excitation intensity distribution which is generated by spatio-temporal fluctuation of light itself and configuration microchannel. contrast, proposed can eliminate undesirable influence using ratio-metric technique with two fluorescence images, because be approximately linear function...
