In this paper, we study how the uncapacitated facility location problem is transformed into a two-stage stochastic program with recourse when uncertainty on demand, selling prices, production and transportation costs are introduced. We then present dual-based procedure indicate dual-descent primal-dual adjustment procedures proposed by D. Erlenkotter (1978) in static case can be made monotonically improving case. Results of computer experiments reported.

The minisum (minimax) problem consists of locating a single facility in the plane with aim minimizing sum weighted distances (the maximum distance) to m given points. We present two solution methods for generalized versions these problems which (i) location is restricted union finite number convex polygons; (ii) are approximated by norms that may differ points; and (iii) transportation costs increasing continuous functions distance. Computational experience described.

Regression analyses of a spatially distributed variable is common technique in urban and regional planning. Frequently, however, the disturbance terms are not completely independent but exhibit spatial autocorrelation. A method proposed for taking account this autocorrelation illustrated by means an application to Belgian labour-demand function.

Eosinophilic bronchopneumopathy was diagnosed in 23 young dogs. Clinical signs included cough, gagging, and retching all dogs, dyspnea 21 dogs (91%), nasal discharge 12 (52%). The most common radiographic findings were a moderate to severe bronchointerstitial pattern (68%, 13 of 19 dogs). Bronchoscopic the presence abundant yellow‐green mucus or mucopurulent material (70%, 16 dogs) mucosal thickening with an irregular polypoid appearance (52%, dogs), partial airway closure during expiration...

Given a spatial system of clients' demand functions, this paper proposes solution methods to determine the price(s), number, locations, sizes, and market areas plants supplying clients in order maximize profit firm. Three alternative price policies are considered: (i) uniform mill pricing, which same is charged at plant door, (ii) delivered pay irrespective their (iii) discriminatory such that firm sets client-specific prices based on locations. Computational results reported.

Perinatal infections with feline panleukopenia virus (FPV) have long been known to be associated cerebellar hypoplasia in kittens due productive infection of dividing neuroblasts. FPV, like other parvoviruses, requires cells replicate which explains the usual tropism for digestive tract, lymphoid tissues and bone marrow older animals. In this study, necropsy histopathological analyses a series 28 cats died from parvovirus 2013 were performed. Infections confirmed by real time PCR...
