Basalt fiber reinforced aluminum matrix composites with different contents (i.e. 0 wt%, 10 30 wt% and 50 wt%) were prepared by hot-press sintering. Microstructure analysis indicates that basalt fibers are uniformly distributed in 10% composite. The interfacial bonding between is good, there no interface reaction matrix.
