The World Data Centre for Microorganisms (WDCM) was established 50 years ago as the data center of Federation Culture Collections (WFCC)-Microbial Resource Center (MIRCEN). WDCM aims to provide integrated information services using big technology microbial resource centers and microbiologists all over world. Here, we an overview including its services. Information Worldwide (CCINFO) provides metadata on 708 culture collections from 72 countries regions. Global Catalogue Microorganism (GCM)...
Throughout the long history of industrial and academic research, many microbes have been isolated, characterized preserved (whenever possible) in culture collections. With steady accumulation observational data biodiversity as well microbial sequencing data, bio-resource centers to function information repositories serve academia, industry, regulators on behalf for general public. Hence, World Data Centre Microorganisms (WDCM) started take its responsibility constructing an effective...
Mortality of HIV/tuberculosis (TB) patients in Eastern Europe is high. Little known about their causes death. This study aimed to assess and compare mortality rates cause death HIV/TB across Western Argentina (WEA) an international cohort study. were analysed by time from TB diagnosis (<3 months, 3-12 months or >12 months) 1078 consecutive patients. Factors associated with TB-related examined multivariate Poisson regression analysis. 347 died during 2625 person-years follow-up. was three-...
This study presents the results of a comparative analysis fungal diversity in world system microbial culture collections on one side with variety known producers other side. The main VKM databases used are FungalDC and Metabolites Fungi central point is ability to synthesize promising metabolites for applied use. It indicates that option obtaining new strains from collection funds still underestimated by scientific community. In particular, it shown no more than 3% total species fund...
Somatic embryos initiate and develop from single mesophyll cells in vitro cultured leaf segments of orchardgrass ( Dactylis glomerata L.). Segments were plated at time periods ranging 21 to 0·9 d (21 h) prior launch on an 11 spaceflight (STS‐64). Using a paired t ‐test, there was no significant difference embryogenesis preplating 14 d. However, reduced by 70% h before this treatment P = 0·0001. The initial cell divisions leading embryo formation would be taking place during flight treatment....
The article provides information about All-Russian Collection of Microorganisms’ (VKM) fungi – potential producers mycotoxins. A comparative analysis the VKM database diversity mycelial with ChEBI (Chemical Entities Biological Interest) and ChEMBL Database European Molecular Biology Laboratory) databases containing on various chemical compounds was performed. It confirms that collection represent significant objects for a comprehensive study their metabolome. Currently described mycotoxins...
This paper presents interconnections between catalogs of microbial culture collections and biological databases inspected. Microbial Biological Resources Centers (mBRCs) provide Life Science (LS) biotechnology with fit-for-use microbiological resources related data consistent quality. To optimize the services, facilitate cumulative research, make crosschecks, avoid duplication efforts, must ensure that developed maintained are interconnected mBRC data. research shows that, at present,...
