Abstract Background There is a growing concern that particulate matter (PM) such as PM 2.5 and 10 has contributed to exacerbating psychological disorders, particularly depression. However, little known about the roles of these air pollutants on depression in elderly. Therefore, this study aimed examine association between , elderly population South Korea. Methods We used panel survey data, Korean Longitudinal Study Aging (KLoSA), administered by Labor Institute during period 2016, 2018, 2020...

Despite major advances in artificial intelligence (AI) for medicine and healthcare, the deployment adoption of AI technologies remain limited real-world clinical practice. In recent years, concerns have been raised about technical, clinical, ethical legal risks associated with medical AI. To increase real world adoption, it is essential that tools are trusted accepted by patients, clinicians, health organisations authorities. This work describes FUTURE-AI guideline as first international...

Previous studies with large data have been widely reported that exposure to fine particulate matter (PM2.5) is associated all-cause mortality; however, most of these adopted ecological time-series designs or included limited study areas individuals residing in well-monitored urban areas. However, nationwide cohort including cause-specific mortalities different age groups were sparse. Therefore, this examined the association between PM2.5 and mortality South Korea using cohort.

Particulate matter ≤ 2.5 µm (PM2.5) poses health risks related to various diseases and infections. However, the interactions between PM2.5 cells such as uptake cell responses have not been fully investigated despite advances in bioimaging techniques, because heterogeneous morphology composition of make it challenging employ labeling fluorescence. In this work, we visualized interaction using optical diffraction tomography (ODT), which provides quantitative phase images by refractive index...
