Objective Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is prevalent in children with sickle cell disease (SCD). We compared the demographic, clinical, and polysomnographic characteristics of without SCD. Methods This retrospective chart review included SCD ( n = 89) 192) ages 1–18 years referred for polysomnography (PSG) OSA. Results Children were predominantly African American when to non‐SCD group (95% vs. 28%, p < 0.001). The had a higher BMI z‐score (1.3 0.1, 0.001) percentage patients classified as...

Objective To identify predictors of severe obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) in children under 3 years age and to compare demographics, comorbidities, polysomnographic characteristics infants toddlers with OSA. Study Design Retrospective case series. Methods We examined who had polysomnogram between August 2012 March 2020. Demographics, clinical, parameters were compared 0–1 versus 1–3 0–2 2–3 mild–moderate Univariate analysis was used groups; multiple logistic regression for Significance set at...

Objectives: To identify predictors of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) after adenotonsillectomy (T&A) in children under 3 years age and to describe the characteristics with OSA undergoing T&A an ethnically diverse population. Methods: We examined 87 pre- post-operative polysomnography (PSG) between 8/2012 3/2020 at a large tertiary care hospital. Differences were compared for covariates including demographics, comorbidities, respiratory parameters. Regression was used persistent severe...

Objectives: To describe the management of a 5-year old female with painless, mobile cheek mass. Methods: A retrospective chart review presentation, imaging, pathology and management. Results: Magnetic resonance imaging showed heterogenous mass solid lipomatous components. The was lipoblastoma on histopathology excised completely no evidence recurrence. Conclusions: diagnosis in child is challenging. Imaging important but not diagnostic. Surgical excision primary lipoblastoma.
