Background This study provides a detailed imaging assessment in large series of patients infected with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and presenting neurologic manifestations. Purpose To review the MRI findings associated acute manifestations COVID-19. Materials Methods was cross-sectional conducted between March 23 May 7, 2020, at Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital, reference center for COVID-19 Paris area. Adult were included if they had diagnosis severe respiratory syndrome 2 (SARS-CoV-2)...
Abstract The prognosis of relapsed primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL) remains dismal. CAR T‐cells are a major contributor to systemic lymphomas, but their use in PCNSL is limited. From the LOC network database, we retrospectively selected who had leukapheresis for CAR‐T cells from third line treatment, and, as controls, treated with any at least and considered not eligible ASCT. Twenty‐seven patients (median age: 68, median three previous lines, including ASCT 14/27)...

SUMMARY:
There is growing evidence that Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) has a neurotropic and neuroinvasive potential. In particular, neurologic complications associated with the infection by SARS-CoV-2 include strokes may result from dysregulated inflammatory response to infection. We report an atypical deep cerebral vein thrombosis complicated hemorrhagic venous infarction in patient positive for no risk factors thrombosis.
To examine retinal vascular changes in the peripapillary and macular areas patients with pituitary adenoma (PA) using optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA).Cross-sectional, retrospective study of 17 consecutive PA 16 healthy subjects. All underwent a neuro-ophthalmological examination to assess presence optic neuropathy (ON). Static automated perimetry (SAP), disc structural OCT [retinal nerve fibre layer (RNFL) ganglion cell complex (GCC) thicknesses] OCTA were performed....
Abstract Background and purpose There are few clinico‐radiological data on optic neuritis (ON) with myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody (MOG‐IgG). The objective was to characterize the phenotype outcome of patients MOG‐IgG‐related ON. Methods records all adult admitted in three medical centres MOG‐IgG‐associated ON who underwent orbital brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) at acute phase were reviewed. Spinal cord MRI within 1 month from follow‐up Results Of 62 patients, 41.9% had...
The kappa free light chains index (κ-index) is increasing in importance as a fast, easy, cost-effective, and quantitative biomarker multiple sclerosis (MS), which can replace cerebrospinal fluid (CSF)-restricted oligoclonal bands (OCB) detection. In previous studies, controls often included mixed patients with several inflammatory central nervous system disorders. aim of the present study was to assess κ-index serum aquaporin-4 (AQP4)-IgG or myelin-oligodendrocyte-glycoprotein (MOG)-IgG.We...
Several treatments have been approved for the prevention of attacks in AQP4-IgG+ neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD). However, because rarity disease, little is known concerning how to switch from one treatment another case lack effectiveness or side effects. In this article, we report a severe attack patient with NMOSD after switching eculizumab satralizumab. A 44-year-old woman was treated azathioprine and then rituximab, without optimal control disease. Eculizumab initiated...
Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH) and Erdheim-Chester disease (ECD) are clonal myeloid disorders associated with mitogen-activated protein (MAP)-kinase-activating mutations an increased risk of neurodegeneration. We found microglial mutant clones in LCH ECD patients, whether or not they presented clinical symptoms neurodegeneration, microgliosis, astrocytosis, neuronal loss, predominantly the rhombencephalon gray nuclei. Neurological were PU.1+ clone size (p = 0.0003) patients longest...
Several recent studies have shown the promising efficacy of chimeric antigenic receptor (CAR) T cells in treating CNS lymphomas. However, data on neurotoxicity this setting are limited. The objective study was to describe patients with lymphoma treated anti-CD19 CAR and identify risk factors. We retrospectively selected adult isolated relapse B-cell lymphomas at Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital between January 2020 2024 from French Oculo-Cerebral Lymphoma network database. collected clinical,...
Background: During the last decade, our understanding of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) physiology has dramatically improved, thanks to discoveries both glymphatic system and lymphatic vessels lining dura mater in human brains. Evidence Acquisition: We detail recent basic science findings field CSF connect them with current pathophysiology idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH). Results: Transverse sinus (TS) stenoses seem play a major causative role symptoms IIH, as result decrease pressure...
Abstract Background Acute optic neuritis ( AON ) is a common nerve disease leading to retrograde degeneration of axons, reflected by thinning the inner retinal layers on optical coherence tomography. On contrary, acute macular neuroretinopathy AMN type 2 rare outer disorder that leads nuclear and diagnosed multimodal imaging. The aim this study was report new association between these two diseases. Methods Patients with first episode were invited participate in involved tomography evaluation...
Summary Langerhans cell Histiocytosis (LCH) and Erdheim-Chester disease (ECD) are clonal myeloid disorders, associated with MAP-Kinase activating mutations an increased risk of neurodegeneration. Surprisingly, we found pervasive PU.1 + microglia mutant clones across the brain LCH ECD patients without neurological symptoms, microgliosis, reactive astrocytosis, neuronal loss. The predominated in grey nuclei rhombencephalon, a topography attributable to local proliferative advantage microglia....
Multinodular and vacuolating neuronal tumor of the cerebrum is a rare supratentorial brain described for first time in 2013. Here, we report 11 cases infratentorial lesions showing similar striking imaging features consisting cluster low T1-weighted high T2-FLAIR signal intensity nodules, which referred to as multinodular posterior fossa unknown significance. No relationship was found between location lesion clinical symptoms. A hypointense central dot sign present images 9/11 (82%)...
Cerebral amyloid angiopathy related inflammation (CAA-RI) is a rare form of CAA characterized by subacute encephalitic symptoms (cognitive decline, seizures, focal deficits) associated with extensive and confluent white matter lesions co-localizing lobar microbleeds on brain MRI. We report two cases unusual CAA-RI mimicking meningoencephalitis but without typical FLAIR T2* sequences. These 2 may extend the clinical spectrum suggesting possible occurrence quite purely meningeal forms CAA-RI.
Multinodular and vacuolating neuronal tumor (MVNT) of the cerebrum is a rare brain lesion with suggestive imaging features. The aim our study was to report largest series MVNTs so far evaluate utility advanced multiparametric magnetic resonance (MR) techniques. This multicenter retrospective approved by institutional research ethics board. From July 2014 May 2019, two radiologists read in consensus MR examinations patients presenting an MVNT. They analyzed lesions' characteristics on...
