When compared to patients with normal renal function, chronic kidney disease develop higher in-hospital complications post implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) therapy. However, real world data on ICD therapy in end stage (ESRD) is limited. In this study, we aim explore the procedure-related of ESRD.Using nationwide inpatient sample (NIS) database, conducted a retrospective analysis ESRD who underwent placement from 2010 2016. Using 1:2 propensity score matching, those function....
Purulent pericarditis is a rare disease in the era of antibiotics, with Streptococcus pyogenes being possible, though uncommon etiology. Even more are mycotic aneurysms secondary to group A strep purulent and bacteremia. We report case an 18-year-old female history pharyngitis develop subsequent ventricular fibrillation (VF). Following initial stabilization, she ultimately developed 4.8 cm aneurysm ascending aorta, resultant compression pulmonary trunk right arteries.

Introduction: Non-obstructive coronary artery disease (NOCAD) is associated with increased morbidity and higher medical expenses compared to those without NOCAD. Currently there are no set guideline-directed interventions for this patient population. This study examined the management subsequent cardiovascular (CV) events in deemed have Hypothesis: We hypothesized that maximal use of therapy would correlate reduced events. Methods: undertook a retrospective chart review 1,752 patients who...
Patients with PR intervals >240ms have atrio-ventricular (AV) dyssynchrony, which can increase risk of atrial fibrillation and all-cause mortality. When requiring pacing, long AV delays (AVDs) been programmed to avoid ventricular dyssychrony. His bundle pacing (HBP) may provide improved synchrony in patients prolonged PR.10 sinus node dysfunction who received HBP were studied. Real-time echocardiographic was performed 3 pacemaker modes (RV septal, non-selective HBP, selective HBP) using the...
Introduction: Troponin I (TnI) elevation is an important tool for detecting cardiac injury, though it not disease specific and can be elevated in other conditions such as sepsis or heart failure. Predictive models suggest that TnI correlates with increased mortality, however, unclear if testing has value predicting readmissions. Hypothesis: We hypothesized inpatient would correlate 30-day hospital Methods: Patient data was collected from January 1st , 2016 through December 31st comprised of...
